Be relax.  My son is also a K3 student of SJ Kindergarten.  I remember in the P1 application briefing held on September last year, the primary school is keen to admit all kindergarten students.  I believe the primary school has enough capability to take care of the remaining students.  

Have you quoted the "special" reference in the enevlope to the principal of SJ Primary?  Try to contact your son's class teacher.  She should have experience to guide and counsel you.

Good luck and see you and your son in St. Jo Primary 1.

小兒也是在st jo 讀小一的,很同意faxfax所說,外間人都說st jo競爭大,所以很多家長一開始就會push個小朋友,造成家長和小朋友都有很大的壓力,今次考試(只是小一),我仔嗰班和其它班都有同學發高燒,都照返學,何況如果小朋友是讀五年級的,真是要打針都要返學考試.

在st jo讀書,最大的壓力不是來自課程的深與淺,而是家長與同學間的相互競爭,就算是一分兩分都會影響自己的排名,將來可否升中就是要靠這個排名,你話壓力大唔大呀?

I only know one lucky boy.  He studied in SJ Kindergarten.  However, the school background of a P1 applicant is not considered in the first and the second rounds.

Last night, as I picked up my son, the school bus's governess informed that their arrivial time would be 9:15 & 15:30 tomorrow.

SJ Primary 乃政府津貼小學。 在自行分配和统一派位兩個階段，SJ Kindergarten K3生與其他申請人一視同仁。 只有在有成功獲派SJP而放棄時，該位將由SJP酌情收取外生。 屆時，SJK學生才獲優勢，但仍要看面試表現。

在自行分配和统一派位兩個階段沒有面試。 在6月统一派位後可親自到SJP查詢可有剩餘學位，並遞交申請信和小朋友profile，然後等通知約見校長。

No news is good news!

My son told me yesterday that 7 classmates had received the "invitation notice".  He said those students had failed certain subjects at the last test or got poor conduct in the class.

I'm a P1 parent.

My son showed me a card like a 書韱 with a big capital "A" last night.  He said that the card was distributed by the principal in respect of the recent test.

Can any parent elaborate more what it is about?
