Pretty glad to get AM offer, but wondering whether we should wait for PN interview of Victoria ( prefer better Chinese Program, AND dragon 年尾細仔 hasn't been to any PN )

Also we've got the offer of Greenfield nearby, but TY is a little bit far way, could be tough for  kid...

Anyone who is facing the similar problem or could kindly give some advice?
Many thanks:)

If you choose ESF TY, you make a no turning back decision (or almost) for the IS route. That is fine if you made the choice already.  But if you wonder if you would one day go to LS route (which i guess you may consider given you have applied Greenfield and VSA), then you need to think twice.

I am under similar dilemma, i will think over the holiday and decide.

That is the question.

We would definitely choose a IB route instead of the LS route, so that we didn't apply for any other kindergartens such as St.cat or LH. But we are not quite sure whether the IS route is really suitable... The most important consideration is Chinese learning.

I am wondering whether it would be a better choice if we go to Greenfield or Vic( If available ) first for better Chinese leaning foundation and then go to ESF or some other IS schools...

Bi-lingual kinder or kinder with more solid foundation probably suits you better, but then it also depends on how mcuh you want your child to go to esf primary/secondary route ultimatel. Is it something you want a lot? or if other IS (particulary more bi-lingual IS) or IB schools appeals more? If ESF primary is something in your top priority in terms of your child's education, you should know non-esf klinder and non-siblings non- nomination right holders may stand very little chance (except for perhaps RC which adopt a more selective approach).

Very often parents have conflicting requirements from a school. Native Chinese and native English, good academic training and university placements, schools having a tract record and should be happy learning.

I think no schools can achieve that.  Even if there is one such school, there will be 1000 applications for 1 place.  Even so, is your child in that perfect school achieve all parent requirements?  Not sure.

Parents just have to prioritize what are the most important aspects of your child's schooling. I think it boils down to whether the parents buy the western style education or Easter style education. Not just one subject, eg Chinese or English, but the total education experience as a whole. Parents then have to supplement the weaker areas outside school.

The more bizzare a thing is, the less mysterious it proves to be.
