我剛係Taobao買咗Your Baby Can Read. 但說明書話第一個月要先睇咗"Starter Video" 的22個key words 先. 然后先睇Volume 1.  但我找唔到什麼是"Starter Video" .  有冇媽咪可以教吓我点做. 唔該!

我找到了. 今日第一日開始比對囝囡睇. 我大女2YRS. 個細仔就只有四個月大. 我個女對個Video有興趣. 但個細仔就睇兩睇就左望右望. 我覺得對個細仔來說個Video的內容好深. 唔知有冇媽咪可以分享吓經驗&心得?

Appreciate you teaching the kids by yourself. I also want to do so. Would u please advise how much did u buy and how many books or CD in total? I heard Oxford Tree is also good. Have u ever try this? Any comment can share? Thanks

Your baby can read 係有好多字咭配合，如要做到佢真係記得同讀，不能只單看dvd，要用字咭再覆習，更何況不能看太多電視呢。
我個女4個月開始睇，每日一次，起初都冇反應架，佢18個月已經認到全部字，不過要時不時再溫，因為佢真係會唔記得，而家我比your child can read 佢睇啦。

多謝樓上媽咪們分享經驗. 我想問吓, 妳們的小朋友有冇因為YBCR而喜歡了閱讀文字呢? 我個女e+26個月大. 佢係好鐘意睇STORY BOOK. 但我發覺佢唔多鐘意文字. 所以佢好少會睇一d我未講過比佢聽的故事書. 我e兩日先同佢睇YBCR同埋同佢玩dGAME CARD. 但佢唔鐘意睇d字. 我SHOW 字比佢睇如"Tiger" 佢會搶將card然后睇卡背后的picture. 唔知玩多一段時間情況會好D呢?

I bought the YBCR from Taobao. It charged HKD230 only. There are 8 sets of items included 5 sets DVDs, 5 sets of flapbooks, 50 game cards,  82 double-sided word cards, 5 sets of sliding word and picture cards etc..
I didn't use Oxford Tree.  But I let my elder daught join the play group since she was 10 months old.  
Actually, she recognizes many things including colors e.g. red, yellow, green, blue, black, white, purple, pink etc... Sharp, animals, furnitures etc... However, she only can understand when I talk to her.  But she cannot recognize the words when I show her.  To be a parent, I also want my daught who can understand the words so that she will have more fun when she read.  This is the reason behind I try to use YBCR.  Hope she will enjoy reading with words finally.

Thanks so much for your reply and detail info. You are really a good mama and smart as well, $260 is super good price.

My son likes flash cards very much, so that's why I called myself 'bbflashcard'. Like your daughter, my son is also interested at the side with pictures instead of the side with words. I have the same thinking as you to let him read more words, so as to enjoy more fun by reading.

其實我完完全全係咁既情況, 到我依家只係比英文生字佢睇, 佢係無興趣...因為睇慣左圖案.....

但中文, 我一開始無圖案比佢, 我會慢慢閃比佢, 居然學了 200 個生字, 而 BABY CAN YOU READ 仍然係 48 個字, 但仲係只記得 3 分 1 ......

唉~~所以...真係一開始唔好比太花巧佢地, 咪會唔專心..無興奮.....

Hi Man Luk Chu,

Your son is very smart, he knows so much.

Although my son mainly reconize pictures instead of words, I'm very happy already. So interesting that when we go outside, he can speak out a lot what he saw, eg bird, bus, bicycle, apple, watermelon, slide, swing.... Maybe pictures are interesting and help the babies to learn in a more tangible way.

Now he is 2yr, I hope he can learn more by reading, not sure if YBCR is suitable for him as it seems more suitable for babies below 1 yr. Any mama can give comments???

我囡囡好鍾意睇字咭, 可能我同工人姐姐係用玩O既型式同佢贖, 比如加o的聲音, 誇張o的o既, 再加動作, 佢覺得好得意所以o米睇下O羅.
但係佢對中文就一o的興趣都冇, 所以有得必有失.

May I know when your little boy start playing/watching the YBCR?  It can give me some indications how long my daughter to complete the program of YBCR.  Thank you !

I started to use it at 10mths for 20mins one time on Mon to Fri.  Following exactly as instruction: 1mth for starter, 2mths for the Disc 1-3, and 1mth for review.  Playing card occasionally but the daughter loves the cards so she even picked and read by herself.  We finished the whole set at 16 mths and she now can read all the cards without pictures or even those words appeared in other books .  Limiting the TV times but only YBCR is crucial.
