My son will get in an international school year 1 in coming August, but he's from a local kinder, just wonder how's the level of English in year 1? Year 1 students know how to read, write and spell vocabulary already? Since my kid doesn't know spell in vocabulary yet...
I think children in year one can read but not necessarily write or spell. They do learn to write and spell in year one though. My daughter never learnt writing in K1 or K2. Don't worry about it.
