醫生話擔心仔仔有自閉!但又未confirm到?

以你現在的情況,我覺得你最好儘快幫你的小朋友報讀全日制的幼兒園,因為我們不能單憑多不多/有無eye contact/叫佢應不應來斷定小朋友是否有自閉傾向,如果他純粹是自我中心,未學識回應別人,當他返了幼兒園之後,可以有很大的改善.另一方面,幼兒園的老師們長期對住很多小朋友,她們會比較容易分辨小朋友是否有學習障礙的.
如果評估中心的醫生說擔心你仔仔有自閉傾向,他有沒有轉介你去排早期訓練或兼收位?另外仔仔是否有其他的學習障礙,例如:語言發展遲緩/大小肌肉的問題等?

Me Too.!!!!
My daughter is now 23 months old and was told my a specialist Dr. at 養和醫院 the same thing. She said looks like autistic ... but mild and cannot confirm.more correctly, the Dr. said she's just too young to be DEFINED as autistic.. but she has some trace of it.
she is now referred to Hip hong for language therapy and occupational therapy.
my daughter has great eye contact, not afraid of stranger, no specific rountine.. but she sometimes do not respond to my calling, more importantly no words yet...
Since she has been going to playgroup since 10 month old... the teacher at playgroup and my family are all in denial...they said she is just a late talker .. not autistic... i don't know what to believe anymore.
sometimes, I look at her... I know she's a little different than other kid... sometimes, I feel like she is just doing what other normal kids would do.
It's just so hard at this point... the therapy at hip hong will start this week... we'll see how it goes.

請問妳仔仔識唔識講野? 會唔會叫極都唔停四維走?
其實那些特殊訓練班, 主要教妳一些技巧來在家訓練小孩, 而妳有問題亦可請教治療師, 還有可以認識其他家長交換心得.

早期訓練的作用正正就是盡快改善各方面的障礙,令小朋友的發展得以回復正軌-不要過份擔心,三心兩意拖下去反而可能會誤了可以改善的空間.

其實在這階段有政府安排的服務已經頗理想,因為排期也要相當的時間,至於有否需要再找私人甚至那些個人跟進訓練就真的可以留待公家訓練開始後再決定-但當然如果排期太久又作別論.

...我感到很迷茫的就是到底應不應該帶仔仔去參加那些特殊訓練班呢?因為仔仔尚年幼,太早返會不會令到他不是也變是...

I think you should believe your mother's instinct, if you feel there is something strange about your kid, you should get professional advice.

I felt my son was 'strange' at 2 years old but everybody kept telling me he was fine, maybe a late talker, maybe a bit chubby(for his clumsiness) etc...............perhaps both me and my hushand were in denial and we have never heard of Autistic features or asperger........with hind sight, it's really no harm to do an assessment and start early training.

One of my friends's daughter was assessed with  autistic features, she let her daughter started whole day nursary rightaway and gave her speech and OT therapies. At N3 now, she was re-assessed as normal and now no need to do any therapies. My point is even if your kid is 'mis-diagnosed' with AF, there is nothing to lose to let them get early training. It's better to play safe than regret later!

I thought so... and i agree with you 100%.
that's why no matter what other said, we are starting therapy this week anyway.
I figured starting training earlier the better. No point to be in deneial.
the thing is we are expecting another baby in a month... I just don't know how much patience will I have by then. We'll see.

Dear all,
My son's situation is exactly the same as this girl.  Never mind the title of the diagnosis.  Just keep on training the kid, attend whatever useful training you can afford and seek for experienced professionals' advice.

以我所知, 自閉証好像要到4-5歲, 醫生先會評實係定唔係. 通常對住年紀好細既小朋友, 都會用有傾向/懷疑去評.

私人評語方面, 我仔仔就未去睇過(我仔仔23個月在政府兒童醫院評為發展遲緩). 不過聽過某位媽咪提過, 她曾經帶兒子去養和醫院再做多次私家人評估, 好像要幾仟定8仟元. 沒錯評出來的名稱和政府醫院評出來有些微不同(有幾個家長真正明白醫學個term), 但係那個家長回頭望的話, 她會用那好幾仟元和仔仔做training, rather than再做多次私家評估.

協康會是有網址的, <click here協康會>, 你可以慢慢長細看看.
至於協康會所提供的私人治療服務, 就正如four44所講, 每每要排好幾個月, 甚至半年. 所以我都會建議你報名排住先. 最常見家長都會安排小朋友做語言治療, 另外協康會有個幼兒訓練($400/堂)亦是不錯的. 你可以入這裡看看<協康專業評估及治療>.
你看看社工給你的資料吧, 很可能亦會有明愛, 又或痙攣會leaflet, 這些機構亦有provide相類似服務.

至於playgroup, 我會覺得倒不如你帶仔仔上上由協康/明愛等所提供的, 以下這個都不錯<青蔥小園地, 專注力遊戲訓練小組>. 始終街外的playgroup未必識handle我地既小朋友, 繼續上普通playgroup反而可能會浪費時間. 可以講, 時間對我地家長來講, 比金錢更重要.

還有啊, 其實係很難令旁人明白我地小朋友既問題, 和我地既難處. 換著是我, 親戚方面我不會特登去解釋. 我自己已經夠煩惱了, 不想為此而加添自己煩惱. 反而最重要是你和先生齊心去幫助仔仔, 有這個已經很足夠.

最後, 正如Dr T所講, 治療係幫助改善我地既小朋友, 不會因"太早返會不會令到他不是也變是..."

我仔仔的case,同你一樣,都係22個月大, 只肯說bb話, 佢係上了training才多講bb話,所以我覺得你應該及早報名,因為所有訓練都要排期,又要夹時間, 不是立刻有位,除非你是全職媽媽。你有無幫仔仔報幼兒園? 無就快D搵啦!

我仔仔而家20個月大, 都係未識講野, baba mama 都未識, 淨係講bb話, 其實自閉除左吾識講野之外, 重有咩跡象, 我仔一時時, 叫佢有時應人有時又吾睬人, 叫佢做野, 大多都費時睬我, 如我叫佢比個波波媽媽, 佢會lor 比我同我踢, 而家去街街啦, 佢會同人做bye bye 手勢& x吻, 叫佢坐係sofa度等我開tv 比佢睇, 佢又會坐定定, d video 停左重會eeurur 叫我地換碟tim, if 見到表哥表姐 (9歲 & 5歲), 佢又會好開心甘走去攬住佢地, 一齊走來走去, 見到一d吾識ga人同佢玩&笑, 佢又會同人地笑番, 但係見到d同自已甘大ga bb, 佢又吾會同人地一齊玩wow... 我真係好擔心佢....

I was exactly like your position.. doesn't think there's anything wrong.. ( I'm not saying ther's something wrong with your kid)...untill I took my girl to Dr. at 養和.
yes, at the age of 23 months or something... Doctors didn't want to "lable" your child. they will only say your child looks like or have to trace of autisim.  They may be wrong... but it's never wrong to take precaution... and if you do more to help your kid.. it's never harmful to them.
The government assessment center takes long time... I took my girl to 養和.. and they charge $800/half hour... so a 3 hour assessment cost us over $5000. it's really expensive.. but I was glad to spend that $$, becuase now I can face the reality and remind myself to help my girl all the time.

My girl is like your kid... LOVE TV and will do anything if I  turn on Almo or Barney.... Kids that doesn't speak at tend to be obsessed with TV becuase TV doesn't require 2- way communication.. ti's only a 1- way communication... letting them watch TV may not be helpful in promoting them to speak.
I now limit TV to only 20 mins a day....
Sometimes, when they don't speak doesn't mean they are autistic... just that they don't see the need to communicate( or they are not use to communicate). so I would limit TV time... I know some parent completely cut out TV... even the parent themselves don't watch tv anymore when the kid is around.

我都認同katyfok所講, 去私家醫生做評估當然比政府做快. 只係政府那邊我認為亦好應該要排同去做. 因為就算我地能付擔到私人training昂貴既費用(每每要$600 or up一堂), 將來入學亦係另一個好重要既問題. 我地小朋友找到學校時很多時都遇常困難. 而政府就分別提供'幼兒中心兼收位(i位)', 或是'特殊學校(s位)'俾弱能小朋友入讀.

另外正如katyfor所講, 電視cut得就得. 盡量和小朋友用單一語言, 通常即係cut英文, 只用廣東話. vcd都應該睇中文version.

教小朋友野, 要先拎到小朋友attention先教, 即係我地眼睛要和小朋友眼睛同一水平先好講說話, 說話要慢少少和簡潔,因為我地既小朋友好多時專注力都係比差.
