港島區學Phonics

囡囡4歲，想替她報讀phonics，但坊間大大小小的英語學校看得我頭暈眼花，不知如何選擇。地區方面，北角、銅鑼灣、灣仔都ok。希望有經驗的家長們可以給點意見。Thanks

我仔四歲，學校用letterland, 我住杏花邨，港島東有邊間啱？

Phonicsland in Leighton Road causeway bay. Quite good. But more expensive than  the others, I remember close to $400 an hour for class of 4kids and almost $1000 an hour for 1 to 1.
Personally think effectiveness is more important than cost. Kids may be able to pick up all sounds in 10 sessions as compare to having to do at least 30 sessions in the cheaper place.

Just my personal POV.

$1000 for one hour!!! 我以前個囡學phonics 嚟埋屋企兩堂後以經識blending, 一年後已經學完仲可以考埋Cambridge starter 都係$3xx一個鐘咋!真係唔知phonics可以咁貴😱

Well, Doors Method takes $8000 a month,  twice a week, 30 mins once... So around $2000 an hour. Still there are lots of people paying for that.

juliodon, 你嗰仔學咗几耐呀？讀咩level? 其實我都有問過monkey tree, 但佢一星期要上兩堂，又比咗啲materials 我睇，話上堂要寫生字，我覺得好似唔同外面啲course, 所以冇報，介唔介意講吓你個仔學啲乜，同讀幾年班？

請問當時你囡囡幾歲？讀緊K1? 定K2? 之前是完全唔識phonics, 上兩堂已識blending?

K2 囉。考Cambridge 時就係k3 尾。仲趕得切加埋落個portfolio .
