hello,
my son is studing in ma tau chung primary school(hunghom bay) in p.4. i personally feel that it is
a good school, the headmistress also is kind
and always keeps smile on her face.
a lot of activities for the students and they all study
under properly pessure, not high pessure or no pessure. not much homeworks per day, 1 chinese dict and 1 english dict per week, 4 exams per year.

by the way, kids maybe go to class c, even got marks 90/+90 each subject, that proves that most of the students are really smart, to be frank. the
actual pressure is from parents, right?
regarding english lesson, there are 2 lessons per week by foreign teacher.

any other parents your kids are studing in this
primary school pls post here and we can sharing
experience.

how is the secondary school allocation result of this school ?

my son was accepted in 1st round, and he just
got 5 marks (the first kid in family) , i remembered
many kids from PLK (保良局李徐松聲)kindergarten
were accepted by ma tau chung (hunghom bay)
in 1st round at that year, as i knew, there were 5 my son's classmates (in the same class) in plk kindergarten were accepted in 1 st round,
and i knew all the applicants had had the chance
for interview at that year.
my son was not very smart on his k2 exam result,
but he got a cert. from swimming club (he had finished free style and back style when he was 5 years old), i didn't confirm if it was help.
but i think it was easier to go to this school at that time since it was just moved from net 36 to net 35, and get more space for applicants.
regarding the recent allocation result, i havn't pay much attention to it, but i will focus on it since my son is already in p4, it is really very important to us.

My son is studing in P.1 (first year), he was accepted  this school in second round.

Up to now, he like this school very much. Teacher & principal are very nice.

What is the chance if I got 20marks, I am old student in Ma Tau Chung AM.  

MTC (Hung Hom Bay) & MTC, which one better ? Actual my husband prefer MTC(HHB).

I lived in Tai Po, is there any school bus services ?

i prefer mtc (hunghom bay), it is the p.m. group
of old mtc, have you ever heard about "上龍下馬"?
it is my personal opinion, to be frank, i think they two
are good schools.
there are school bus service from tai po to mtc(hhb),
so pls don't worry about the tarffic.

I heard that MTC (HHB) has 精英班, so how many 精英班 does MTC(HHB) have and if the kids cannot enter these 精英班, would they receive less attention from the school ?

yes, there have 精英班 (class a & b)from p4.
as i said, my son is not very smart on exam result,
but he got 90/+90 marks on each subject, he
still couldn't study in class a & b.
i knew many his classmates are very smart, they got
around+97to 100 on each subject, so they could
study in 精英班 .
my son is in class c, i don't feel they got less attention from teachers, maybe it is just the
beginning of term.
they have 5 classes in p.4 (class a to class e), i just think to keep your kids marks not less than 90/each subject is ok, right?

so the students of MTC(HHB) are very smart ! they have to achieve 97-100 in every subject in order to get into the 精英班!

do you know the 03/04 secondary school allocation result of MTC (HHB) ?

I worry my kid cannot cope with the great pleasure of this school ?
