我直覺得係。其實比成 $3800 一個月，計埋校車，食飯和校內課外活動，出面學野，補習等等，一個月花在小朋友身上可以由 7000 - 10000 不等， 你話一個家庭要有幾多收入才可以 support ？到

我都覺得會睇父母職業....
我識得兩對父母每對都有兩個女都讀DGJs,一對父母都是醫生...另一對是工程師和護士...
通常第一個入到去第二個都入得去...除非第一個讀得太差先會唔修第二個

I don't think so. Last year some kids' parents who applied the school made comment in this column(whether admitted or not admitted) and said the interivew quite fair.

I think the school has preference for children from top kindergartens such as St Catherine, Kenville etc.  Put it this way, the interview is only 10 min for 3 kids, one has to be extremely experienced and focused to be able to select the 'best performers'.

if the school is choosing one out of every three, that means grouping is also one of the 'luck' for the selection, is it that way, however, there maybe more than 400 selected in this way, and then how leh, how to further select among the 400 boys leh, please kindly advise, many tks.

I know two boys from Yew Chung Primary are studying at DBS P.1.  So you can tell how rich they are ...

To my understand, family background is not a consideration point.

From the interview procedures in last year, they did not rely on anyone to select the kids. It was an extremely systematic approach. Every aspect of your kids was quantitatively assessed. See their marking scheme. It totally differs from DGJS where the principal is the key person in the selection. Tips: your kids should be all round developed and have a good development in certain aspect, e.g. music, sports, etc..  In your application, you should show the school about the achievement in ECA.

Correct me, if I am wrong. There is ~ 50% mark allocated in interview.  In last year, there are about 4-5 games or questions in the 1st round interview for kids. For example, the teacher asked simple questions in english to assess english level of kids(kids were asked to select a picture according to teacher's english instruction, "situation" question (pictures were shown to the kids, questions were asked by teachers about what your kid would do in such situation). Many parents commented the assessment in 1st round interview was simple. It may not be able to differentiate the kids. Thus, marks obtained from ECA are important to differentiate the kids.
