Hi all received HKUGA acceptance letter parents.

I have a little boy who study in K1 now. Could you share with us how your kid success in this intervew?
Such as how did your kid's performance in this interview/are your kid study in int'l school/any interest class for your kid to study/good English/you or your spouse graduate at HKU, etc...

My daughter just received the acceptance. I live in HK side. She got achievement award in both the 1st and 2nd term of K2. She is the student of HK Children Choir and Tom Lee junior music class. She got a prize in Southern District Kindergarten Potungua competition. I and my spourse are U-grad. Both of us are manager grade in our job.

我囡囡係3/10最早一批面試,佢話比我知要畫畫,同先生傾談,及玩煮飯仔.我囡囡畫畫同玩係強項,佢話先生比本書佢叫佢讀d識既字比佢知,一本中文書(一些有關禮貌之類)一本英文書(好似字典圖書),我囡囡只盡她所能認讀一些學過的字(我估有限,佢只告訴我讀過CLOCK字),跟住玩煮飯仔(佢同小朋友玩,佢扮媽媽去買餸,會好睇到佢既創意).
我同老公同囡囡安排見副校,佢好nice,我個女怕羞到差d坐上我大骴,副校問一句佢好幾分鍾先答「詞語」,但副校反為她講說話,話小朋友係會怕羞係正常既表現,另外佢話囡囡小組時表現好好,先生評分好髙,話佢好專心,同有禮貌,囡囡臨走時重迫椅,副校讚佢真係好有禮貌.另我幫囡囡做咗個簡單既個人資料冊,我估有少少幫助.
後來我問啊女做過d咩有禮貌嘅事,啊女話佢無黑色筆,走去問先生可唔可以過隔離檯借筆,另佢同人玩玩具時有同人爭玩具,佢講完比我知我心情都十五十六.好在都收咗佢.
總結面試,我估學校會睇小朋友1.專注2.禮貌3.與小朋友相處4.有無創意5.語文能力6.家長既態度(教養方法,是否投入學校生活,如何支援小朋友等)7.幼稚園表現

唔好意思,之前發表既,唔係本人立場,唔知點回應你(因名字被家人誤用),但我好明白你個份失望既心情,唔好噤傷心啦!可能有更好既學校等緊你仔仔呢,又話唔定好多人情願等自行派位唔交$呢!
我記得囡囡面試完,我都十五十六唔知會唔會收佢,但我絕對認為我同囡囡已盡上能力做到最好,我囡囡係寶,就算港大唔收都係寶,佢唔識貨都無辦法,無論入到邊間,最緊要係父母既支持,返學返得開心,自然學到嘢!加上我個囡係細女(年尾女),大不了出年再考過囉! :-|

謝謝關心!我兒子也是年尾(11月尾)的,你說的對,仔仔已盡力我們亦然. 由始至終我們都告訴他是去和小朋友們「玩」,所以他並無太大壓力.塞翁失馬 ,焉知非福. 何況我開始覺得如果『有時間』的話不妨帶小朋友經歷一下不同學校的面試,當作上一課寶貴的社交課,大前提是放下壓力,順其自然.

下星期仔仔要測驗了-中英數常和oral,要收拾心情跟他溫書了!!再談吧!

是k3呀！離島幼稚園。真的不可思議!？一年２測２考！！

他？還可以了！不大意的話,會有一百分的.去年有２次五科一百....他當作做工作紙而已，分數對他無意義的。

只是他不愛重複抄寫工作，又充滿創意（滿瀉）....　所以，想佢入港大同學會囉。

我打字太慢了，有空再談吧！

你的小朋友己盡力,可能學校走漏眼了,因我知道,有2個幾叻的小朋友都reject了,兩個都是老師眼中active份子,1個IQ test囉140分,彈琴語言天份高,另一個1q test囉130分,5歲己懂4式游泳,彈琴,繪畫好好,但這兩位小朋友interview當日非常不合作,所以連waiting 都無,一個是腦筋急轉彎的,另一個是操作高手,家庭背景都是專業及大學畢業,所以平常心啦,兩位的父母都覺得耶穌己為他們的小朋友預備最好的

朋友仔仔入讀04年p1,舊年都係waiting list,佢有再寫信俾HKUGA,那次之後再有無寫信或電話就唔知. 到8月中到,HKUGA通知佢有位,但同時佢有幾個都係waiting list既朋友就無咁好彩. 如果唔怕煩既,不妨每隔一段時間去問情況. 因為真係有d到開學先no show.

Hi,

My daughter is also accepted.  But her performance is not that good that day.  I think the key success are 1. she actively plays with the others 2. she is very polite 3. she joins a lot of extracurricular activities 4. she can answer all the questions very clearly 5. she plays piano.  

As I remember, the vice principal asked her how long she'd play piano and so I believe they are very keen on children who can play music instrument.

Actually, in the other Topic "HKUGA ". Still some child was accepted. Could you also share with us too.

To those all in the waiting list parents;
Don't be so disappointed. I have a freinds daugther who rejected by HKUGA in few years ago. However, she in the present primary school have a good perfomance and get cash award on academic last year. Don't know HKUGA how to choose students. Now we can do is keep going to teach our child & let them to go the postive way. Remember smile & happy. Don't let your child & you have any pressure in the life.  ^.^
