今日帶個仔去陳守仁面試，出來見他想喊個樣，問他原來他說老師全程用英文問他，第一條問題問他識唔識唱歌，我個仔認為他用英文問, 所以一定要唱英文歌，所以搖頭。其餘 3 條問題根本不明他問什麼，所以不識答。但其他三個女仔都識。所以我一定無機會 2nd Interview。我個仔問我，點解大家都是中國人會全部講英文。 :evil:

Hello Miumiumilk,

Nothing to prepare. We arrived the school about 30 minutes before the interview. Then we needed to wait at the hall (1/F). Just about 5 minutes before the interview began, the teacher asked us to go up to the waiting room. About 4-5 kids would enter into the assigned room for interview.

My son told me that the teacher asked him to play puzzle and draw a picture on the whiteboard. (All the questions are in english).

There is no form for parent to fill in.

According to the teacher, they will post the shortlisted candidates for 2nd interview on or before 6 Nov on their school website (they'll inform every parent individually through mail for 2nd interview.).

How long did the interview last? All conducted in English? No Mandarin or Cantonese?

I don't know there will be 2nd interview at all!

Oh, if my daughter is lucky to on the 2nd interview list, I don't know if I can accompany with her or not, as my due date is coming shortly.

My son attended today session and it was approx 15 mins only. According to him, all are in English.

We did also.  My son attend the 11:00am session and he played puzzle and draw picture.  All questions were in English & no Chinese or Putonghua.  

But it took around 25 min for his group which was the last group to leave.  He said one of the children was present tennis playing.

Do you mean that the 2nd interview will be held on 6Nov or shortlist candidates will be notified on 6Nov, as I did not go for the interview & my husband told me that the 2nd interview will be conducted in 6Nov. Pls kindly let me know. Thks.

I go there yesterday, too. My son told me 1st they had to play the puzzle and then answered the questions, no drawings in their group. The teacher ask him if he had learn any song in the kinder and ask him to sing and then ask him where he live. He also told me the teacher also ask the girl next to him if her kinder had teach 普通話 or not. It seems that the topics is somewhat about what they have learn in their kinder.
I've met some other friends who told me that the teacher even ask the kids if they had went to other school for interview, if the answer is 'Yes', they will ask you which school.
After the interview, personnaly I don't like the way the school treat the interview, I don't think they need to conducted all in English, even when you wait in the hall, you are told to go upstaires by the teacher in English and I can see that we're all Chinese. I think the school is a bit 扮野.

I went there yesterday 3:00pm, but my son told me the interview conducted both in cantonese and english and he enjoy so much.
In the hall, the teacher spoke both English and cantonese for the group at 3:30pm (not only in English) as i saw some parents are Indian and even a 鬼老.

我仔仔今日interview, 全程都係用英文,連老師宣佈2nd interview會在十一月六日同要上陳守仁網頁查詢都全程用英文,其實要老師對住班香港人(當時無其他國籍人士)講英文,連老師都非常難為情. ?

The second interview is on Nov. 6 while the shortlisted candidate will be notified before Nov. 6 via school website.

Dear all,
I'm new to this website for about 10 days. What a pity that I haven't found it earlier.

My husband and I also brought my daughter to TSL interview early this morning. According to her, the interview was conducted in 3 sections:
1. Question Section
Each interviewee was asked several questions. She said that the interviewer asked a) her name, b) her age & c) her favourite food.
2. Drawing/ Singing Section
kids were free to select either singing or drawing. She chose drawing and was given a pink chalk to draw on the blackboard.
3. Playing puzzle.
But she said she couldn't finish it.

There were only 4 in my son's group,
Questions asked :  1.  Name, 2. Where do you live ?  3.  Who lives with you.  No singing or drawing, the kids finished a puzzle together.

Can parents here share why you have selected 陳守仁?  It seems only a very new school to me but it is extremely competitive.  What are the pros and cons of this school?  Do they have native English speaking teachers?  If they do, they should have asked those native English speaking teachers to interview the kids.  It really is a bit weird or even intimidating for the kids to speak English in front of the Chinese teachers.  How is 蔡繼有when compared to 陳守仁 (apart from the school fees)?

我覺得個Interview好敷衍,好似收你30蚊就係咁意問你兩三條問題.如果佢間學校咁Top,數分鐘真係能夠知道個小朋友好唔好????定係巳經早有結果收某啲學生???
我就比我老公話浪費晒啲假,早知是但叫個人來比30蚊同帶個小朋友上去咪得(講笑).

Yes, the interview is so short. The paper mentioned the interview last for an hour or 2 hours, but in fact, it took around 15 mins ONLY. The Chinese teacher spoke in English with my girl. Ask 3 questions: 1) name 2)how old 3)where do you live.. my girl was the first one to finish the puzzle and sang a song at the end.... dont know how they chose the kids from this simple interview... I heard there are around 100 students acceped at the 3rd round. that means most of the first round succeed candidates do not study in this school. this is not their first choice.
