女拔明年轉直資學費3.8萬 退出中學學位分配

【明報專訊】逾百年歷史的傳統老牌名校拔萃女書院宣布，2005/06學年開始轉為直接資助模式開辦，每年學費38,000元，且不再參與中學學位分配辦法，意味明年將少了一所資助傳統名校供家長選擇。

　拔萃女書院昨日刊登廣告指，學校將於2005年9月起，採用直接資助計劃辦學模式。學校將會撥出不少於一成學費收入用作獎助學金。據悉，女拔轉直資的主因，是與屬私立小學的拔萃女小學結龍。

　　( 星 島 日 報 報 道 ) 百 年 名 校 拔 萃 女 書 院 將 於 ○ 五 年 九 月 轉 為 直 資 ， 以 便 與 拔 萃 女 小 學 結 龍 ， 讓 女 小 拔 學 生 百 分 百 升 讀 。 女 拔 轉 直 資 後 每 年 學 費 三 萬 八 千 元 ， 並 會 增 至 五 班 中 一 ， 令 取 錄 外 校 生 學 額 增 至 近 百 個 ， 較 現 時 上 升 兩 倍 。 教 統 局 局 長 李 國 章 昨 亦 到 訪 女 拔 ， 並 對 該 校 轉 制 表 示 歡 迎 。

　 　 明 年 屆 創 校 一 百 四 十 五 周 年 的 拔 萃 女 書 院 昨 刊 登 廣 告 ， 宣 布 ○ 五 年 九 月 起 轉 為 直 資 學 校 ， 並 開 始 招 收 直 資 班 中 一 學 生 。 女 拔 校 長 劉 靳 麗 娟 接 受 本 報 專 訪 時 表 示 ， 女 小 拔 屬 私 校 ， 女 拔 只 有 轉 制 直 資 才 可 結 龍 。 該 校 在 ○ 一 年 開 始 諮 詢 家 長 及 教 師 ， 最 終 落 實 明 年 轉 制 ， 她 說 ﹕ 「 有 家 長 在 諮 詢 會 上 叫 我 一 定 要 轉 到 ， 我 敢 說 ， 我 得 到 他 們 百 分 百 支 持 。 」

　 　 教 統 局 局 長 李 國 章 昨 午 亦 到 女 拔 觀 課 ， 與 教 師 及 學 生 傾 談 近 三 小 時 ， 劉 校 長 引 述 李 國 章 指 ， 他 十 分 歡 迎 女 拔 轉 為 直 資 ， 亦 有 信 心 女 拔 改 變 資 助 模 式 後 ， 不 會 出 現 問 題 。

　 　 劉 校 長 指 女 拔 轉 直 資 後 ， 外 校 學 生 入 讀 機 會 將 大 增 。 因 為 中 一 班 級 將 由 現 時 四 班 增 至 五 班 ， 即 有 二 百 個 學 額 ， 足 夠 取 錄 每 年 約 一 百 名 來 自 女 小 拔 的 小 六 學 生 ， 剩 餘 近 百 個 學 額 將 取 錄 外 校 生 ， 較 現 時 每 年 只 取 錄 三 十 多 人 ， 增 加 兩 倍 。

　 　 女 拔 轉 為 直 資 後 ， 每 年 學 費 將 為 三 萬 八 千 元 ， 校 方 將 撥 出 一 成 學 費 收 入 作 助 學 金 ， 資 助 有 經 濟 困 難 的 學 生 。 劉 校 長 強 調 ， 若 發 現 學 生 有 更 大 需 要 ， 會 把 助 學 金 「 加 碼 」 。 首 屆 直 資 中 一 班 申 請 日 期 為 十 二 月 一 日 至 明 年 一 月 十 五 日 ， 外 校 學 生 經 篩 選 後 須 參 加 英 語 面 試 。

　 　 劉 校 長 表 示 ， 收 取 的 學 費 會 用 來 提 高 教 與 學 質 素 ， 如 中 英 數 三 科 將 按 學 生 能 力 作 分 組 教 學 ， 每 級 將 有 一 班 以 普 通 話 教 授 中 文 科 ， 她 說 不 是 每 個 學 生 都 可 用 普 通 話 學 習 ， 校 方 會 以 內 部 考 試 選 出 適 合 的 學 生 ， 用 普 通 話 學 中 文 科 。 她 續 稱 校 方 會 增 加 課 外 活 動 ， 達 至 全 人 教 學 ， 亦 會 利 用 額 外 資 源 增 聘 老 師 和 加 強 師 資 培 訓 。

　 　 談 到 未 來 發 展 ， 劉 校 長 強 調 ﹕ 「 直 資 非 神 仙 棒 ， 我 只 希 望 尋 找 新 模 式 帶 來 的 方 便 和 資 源 ， 可 為 學 生 多 做 到 甚 麼 。 」 她 說 女 拔 將 致 力 追 上 時 代 和 社 會 轉 變 的 要 求 ， 不 排 除 若 將 來 政 府 政 策 和 學 校 條 件 許 可 下 ， 收 取 海 外 學 生 ， 但 先 要 解 決 宿 舍 的 限 制 。

　 　 女 拔 轉 直 資 後 將 收 三 萬 八 千 元 學 費 ， 較 現 時 三 萬 二 千 元 學 費 高 出 近 兩 成 ， 女 兒 現 時 在 女 小 拔 讀 一 年 級 的 袁 太 表 示 ， 女 拔 校 風 一 向 良 好 ， 故 就 算 要 多 付 學 費 也 可 接 受 。 女 兒 讀 小 二 的 陳 太 則 認 為 ， 女 拔 轉 直 資 後 可 確 保 學 生 質 素 ， 女 兒 可 獲 保 證 直 升 ， 三 萬 八 千 元 學 費 也 很 值 得 。

你看看DGS的入學要求，學業只佔10%。

朋友女兒就讀Maryknoll小學，年年考尾幾，但我見過她的成績表，其實都不是太差，起碼無唔合格先。前年佢升中當然派唔番MCS，之後佢入左間叫銀禧中學讀書。聽佢爸爸講佢入左呢間中學之後，可以考到10名以內，而呢間中學聽講都唔錯的(其實我唔係好識九龍D學校的)，好似都是英中來的。唉…寧為雞口，莫為牛後….

I do agree with you.  And I refuse to believe that the girls from other schools are necessarily daughters of a lesser god.  Diversity is certainly good for the future DGS.  In any event, I am certain that the future DGS will attract a sufficient number of top girls.

Most of the parents of DGJS prefer  DGS to join the DSS as it will accept all students from DGJS. The parents are quite worry their daughter fall behind & 10% of them may not be able to get the admission of DGS under the current gov't F.1 place allocatment. That 's why they are very concern about the school results &  activities when they 're studying primary school. I guess most of DGJS' parent can afford to pay for the secondary school fee. They put so much effort to complete the primary edu in DGJS with the hope of promoting to DGS and get the entry of famous University.

If you were that 10% students' parents, you would be very upset  & helpless. They may think that the other brand 1 students may not be outstanding compared with their own daughters. They are only accepting the game 's rule.  If they are going to other college, most of them will  be the top of the class too.
