論 facility - I prefer DBS

個人雖然是SPCC (中學) 畢業, 但對SPCC 無咩特別情意結, 如果比我再揀, 我會揀DBS, 覺得DBS鼓勵學生多方面發展, 校內設備亦比SPCC好好多

SPCC 已轉為直資, 小學07年在黃竹坑有全新校舍, 之後中學亦將麥當奴道小學擴建為中學, 將來中小學的設備相信不會比DBS & DBSPD 差, 或可能更好也不定.

至於"DBS鼓勵學生多方面發展", SPCC 沒有嗎? 如果在你津中時代沒有, 那現在呢?  我見他們其中一個mission有提及喎?

"SPCC 太貴族化".  也許是吧.  但據聞他們正努力地擺脫這型象.  我反而喜歡他們低調的作風, 而又能培養品格良好的學生.

Tks for your sharing.  Not my son, but my friend's boy.  He is accepted by both schools.  The boy loves the environment of DBS and is nearer to his home,  but it seems that SPCC provide more all-rounded education.  Some people said that DBS emphasis too much on music and sports, and might not be very top academically.  So it's quite difficult to decide.

Contrary to Chloepapa, I was a graduate of DBS and my son is now studying in SPCC pimary.   I treasured being a DBS old boy but I'm just too old to comment which one is better.  

Depending on the character of the kid, if he's good at sports and of bigger build, he may find it more enjoyable in DBSPD.  If he doesn't like sports and is of smaller size, I'm afraid he may become one of the targets for being bullied as it often happens in unisex school, no matter boys or girl.

Yes, I agree with DSS.  I have friends who were DBS boys before.  They said some of their classmates were really sick and always bullied others (although they thought it was only for fun).  It was even more serious if you lived in the hostel.   Besides, one of my friends is a teacher in a unisex school.  She also discouraged me to get into her school as my son is a kind of gentle and obedient child.  She commented according to her experience, he will easily become the target for bully.
