請問九龍塘宣道小學 & 九龍塘官立小學 & 培正小學邊間好D?

因我個仔入幼稚園時係大仔, 而家七歲幾讀梗小一, 喜歡數學及英文, 由於而家間學校程度較淺.  

所以, 我想幫個仔轉校, 聽人講話上述D 學校好, 但自己吾清楚學校點! 老公又無意見, 我好驚呀!  吾知點好!

有無其他介紹呀?  請幫忙提供意見.  Thank You!

My son had study in Kln Tong Gov't Primary School (KGS) in P1-P2. Then he changed to Alliance Primary School (APS) to study P3. I changed the school for my son because I found that it is too easy. My son in KGS got the first ten in the class, but when he studied in APS only get 38/41 in the class. So that you can see the different.
Now, he enjoy to study in APS. But this year (P4), he get a great improvement both in academic and music. If you want to change the school, you can try to apply APS, but you make sure that you and your son need to study very hard. And the school requires the students to learn one kind of music instrument.
培正, I don't like it because the secondary school is a Chinese School.

Do you know what is the English secondary school allocation rate of Kln Tong Gov't Primary School? My friend said that it is not as good as previous years.

As I know, Kowloon Tong Gov't Primary School only got around 20 places in Band 1. But Alliance Primary School got 85% in Band 1 and 98% in English Secondary School.

What kind of ECC activities do Kowloon Tong Gov't Primary School have? Does it have school band or music training?

成績差咁遠, 最近我個friend同我講, 佢個女P1, 佢覺得太淺, 問我找找個女以前d卷比佢比較下. 其實我個friend都係去年3rd round 入的, 行入去就收, 唔駛考, 唔駛interview. 佢問我, 我唔識呢間學校, 不過見九龍塘個net都唔錯, 咪叫佢自己考慮. abcdefg, any comment of this school so I can tell my friend, she also wants to change school after P1.

個人覺得每間學校都有自己特色, 好與壞關乎於實際上它與自已基本要求相乎與否.   個人心得, 選擇小學與揀配偶一樣.  配偶不會完全達到自己心中理想條件, 而且往往是需要經過真實相處后方知他/她的優+劣處.  別人理想的他也不等於適合我的.   以學術成績, 宣道私小絕對優勝過九龍塘官小.  但當中學生所受的壓力又會否自家朋友能承受???  

我本不想發言,  但對某些資料存有疑問, 故決定前來向各位問問+學習.

- 九龍塘官小the 3rd round不用Interview???  不會吧 .  2年前我也是同道過來人, 當初確實要Interview的.  另我家小朋友同級同學也有幾位是Interview而入.   同學仔的媽媽也說今年收生(Interview)較前年要求高和緊.   請查看會否是誤會???
- 九龍塘官小是用Longman出版英文書 (香港東區愛蝶序灣基灣也是用這本書.) + 老師特製補充紙.  有2位NET.  教學條件資源不遜.  如果小朋友肯讀+吸收, 英文理應O.K.    數學除有課本外, 學校不時加添補充紙及,偶爾出思考題(頗難 !! 需多動腦筋多思考才可得計算結果, 這亦是學校原意).  
- 因沿用舊紀錄去派位, 升中派位方面確實不太理想 (亦欠缺公平).  但絕不會是只得20位派得band one中學.   會否只是指band one EMI school???  在香港教育制度"日新月異", 各學升中派位可會因新制有改.  況且未來也會越來越多直資/私校中學可選擇.

不過abcdefg的小朋友"遇强,越强" + "適應力强",  他確實Smart抵讚.  有這小孩, 也真令人羨慕哩

I haven't any comment on this school. Because I find that it is not suitable to my son and me, but may be some kids are OK.  I changed the school, I was very tired and hard in the first year. Because I helped my son so much, much, much .....

呢個係真人真事, 因我有協助朋友參與前找學校的工作, 前段佢去"典"St. Mary, 寫信, 做profile, 找father寫信, 送花及小朋友寫的卡去比sister, 都唔掂, 到八月初, 佢找幼稚園根德幫手, 問點算, 根德話九龍塘官立喜歡收根德d學生, 叫佢去試.  於是將d料上九官, 大約一週就有回音叫佢辦入學手續.

我講過, 我對呢間學校唔認識, 都係幫人問. 每個人可發表自己的睇發, 當然要當事人才知道個中情況. 我有好多friend讀宣小, 都知 standard 高. 我亦有同個friend講, 好多小一會讀番K3的野, 深淺見人見智.  同時, 現今大部份government school, 程度都會較私小低, 若小朋友有較高的程度, 可考慮轉校, 這也並不出奇.  

很多謝E.Y.你的分享, 我會告知朋友你所講的一切, 叫她走著看. 此中九龍城係全九龍區最好的 NET 上中學.

I know 1 ex-APS mother and she said that the most elite APS students transferred to DPSPD ( over 70 students) last year. So the competition of APS is not so keen as before and many students previously ranked over 10 in class can do better this year. Anyway, she says that APS is still an excellent school. She also said that the same happens in SFA too. I wonder this September how many APS and SFA students can go to DPSPD for the limited 60 places.

我個仔o係aps 讀緊小三, 我個人感覺係一年比一年吃力, 可能係我個仔質數平平, 今年開始跟不上, 我都考慮緊轉校, 小朋友讀得確實開心, 不過家長真係好辛苦, 不斷做的各科報告, 無書可跟的英文科, 個個月幾次的數學測驗, 真的令我這個在職媽媽抖不過氣, 我想這間學校是好的, 只是需要家長投放大量時間及心力去跟進
小朋友讀得開心係因為aps 的老師都好有愛心, 學校又非常開明, 比到學生自由自在o既感覺

My child is APS's P1 student.  So far it is not too harsh as I also heard from other mummies from other schools complainning the workload of the school.  But I guess it is too early for me to experience the case as I can forcast the future years with more expectation on the musical activities and performance.

I really agree with Mini_fung that the school is really open and provide lots of freedom to the kids. The students are mostly happy and have sense of belonging to the school!

I am quite concern afraied of the future workload and demand from the school.  Want to hear more advice from parents of upper class.

我個仔一年班時都好易應付, 我當初都好奇怪點解個個都話aps 好辛苦, 好難考得好, 不過到二年班下學期開始, 我就知道咩事啦, 到三年班仲更加覺得好激, 程度突然間上得好快, 好難應付, 用故事書黎上堂, d生字深到下下要擰本字典黎教仔, 默書一次過一本故事書又或者十多頁範圍, 次次都起碼二三十個深字, 我都好佩服小朋友o既適應力
所以你真係要有心理準備呀! 真係唔鬆得呀! 文武相全係aps o既要求

I have 2 nephews studied in APS, they are P6 & P4 now, their mum are full time mum & she helps them 查字典all the time, she said it is impossible to spare time to do by children themselves.  Their kids always at the bottom of the form but she doesn't care because she ensure APS can get a EMI Secondary School to their kids.  Although the inhouse school report is not very good, her elder son takes Cambridge KEY exam when he is P5 and got 12 盾, it's really very good.

APS complusory 補課 from P5 to P6, it is needed to pay, not free of charge.  So, the school fee will become $3xxx per month.  That's why a lot of secondary schools like their kids, they get very well preparation to promote Form 1.

The turn over of APS is high, my younger nephew is also changed from other school to APS since P3.  Any major subject failed needed to be repeated.  This is a very harsh school and need parents big support if kid studied there.

They are using reader to teach English, the book is published in Singapore, they are taking same step with Singapore but here is HK, our mother language is Chinese.  My daughter is using same reader but study 2 levels lower.

根據我O既經驗係英文好深, 數學教得好快, 中文就注重普通話, 音樂就睇學器, 常識就成日做報告, 不過唔深, 係呢D比較特別

If your nephews are always at the bottom of the form, would they lose self-confidence in studying even though they can promote to English secondary school?

I would prefer my sons studying in a school who can build up their self-confidence with a good social network among their peers. Would the students at the bottom mix up with the top one in a class very well.  Sometimes, schcols like SFA and APS who always focus on abnormal high standards and heavy workload than other schools are not situable for all children.  The primary schooling should be a happy and good memories when they look back some years later.   

If Pui Ching is not a Chinese school, I would vote for it.

我會咁講, 無人希望自己小朋友墊底, 但每間學校總有人名列後排. 如果佢地在外面有成就 (P5 KEY 取12個盾), 音樂又玩得出色, 性格樂觀, 自己上學唔覺自卑, why not.
每人對每間學校的睇法唔一樣, 你想大塘小魚, 定小塘大魚. 每年有咁多人爭, 呢個係事實. 你我喜歡與否, 也不能改變事實. 若我的孩子入唔到而家呢間小學, 我也可能是宣小的家長. buy 唔 buy, 睇下比什麼佢簡, 或者, 比 La Salle 佢, 咁佢咪唔要宣小law, 世界好現實, 我們不能獨善其身.
