各位家長:

小女獲派聖羅撒小學, 有以下問題請指:

1. 入學前有否適應班?
2. 小一功課多不多? 平均每天約多少份?
3. 是否著重學科成績?有沒有足夠課外活動?
4. 師資如何? 對小朋友有否耐性 / 愛心?
5. 可見未來會否如其他名校一般, 轉為直資?
6. 可否接龍聖羅撒書院? 機會如何?

May be you should PM Tinkerbell for these questions as her girl is in P2 of St. Rose now.  Not that many BK parents can answer your questions here.  For the 1st and 2nd questions, may be you can call the school to check.

2. 小一功課多不多? 平均每天約多少份?
not too much. around 4-5 per day. But will be more in primary 2.
3. 是否著重學科成績?有沒有足夠課外活動?
yes. academic result is quite important in this school.
they have 3 examinations and 2 tests. 3考計分，2測不計分。無級名次，只計班名次。 Will 頒獎給no.1-no.5 in the class for every examination.
4. 師資如何? 對小朋友有否耐性 / 愛心
teachers are quite experienced with loving heart. but school has strict requirement reg. discipline and so on. quite depends the teachers you will encounter.
5. 可見未來會否如其他名校一般, 轉為直資?
No such arrangement so far. They are with long history. I do not expect such changes.
6. 可否接龍聖羅撒書院? 機會如何?
Normally big chance, depending your daughter's academic result. All brand one students can enter.
Some brand two students from St'Rose Primary school can enter. But they only accept brand one students from outside primary school.

有沒有足夠課外活動?

School has Saturday 課外活動 run by PTA & School.
Starting from last year, there are many new activities coming out such as : English Oral and Drama class, Madarine, table tennis, dancing, 詠春,跆拳道,泥膠,科技電玩,體操,水彩畫,圍棋and so on... run by PTA. and Chinese traditional 樂器班run by school...

And there are some other 課外活動 run by school, mainly for students above P3.. held after school in week day such as English drama..

想問下多數人"覺得"依間小學係band 1 定 band 2 學校 ? 有人同我講佢係屬於band 1 尾 band 2既學校 !

I have also heard of that kind of comment. But as far as I know. It is in Band 1 still. And the Chinese level of this school is quite high.

As far as I know most of them are upto good standard. My daughter joined 詠春 & 手工藝班 in P1 & 跆拳道 & 手工藝班 in P2. She loves that very much and attened two times 跆拳道考級 during one year study. Now she is 黃綠帶。   She joined 琵琶
when she was in P1, but gave up in P2... I have bought 琵琶, but   。
PTA will evaluate the qulification of the tutor from time to time and get comment from kids and their parents after every end of term.  They are doing a lot of works behind all those 課外活動。
Feedback for Madarine is so so.

Strictly speaking, there is no banding of primary school, banding only apply to Secondary school.

According to school past record,  St. Rose had over 50% go to Band 1 secondary.  And English standard is the best & above average.   Chinese, I am not sure but I feel chinese subject is much more difficult to English.

因為我看了99/00年的視學報告, 所以有少許擔心

報告整體評價不高, 負面批評比較多, 尤其課外活動的關注不足.....
但這個視學報告已是多年前的事, 相信學方已經改善不少.
