請問有冇人知喇沙小學幾時派表俾後備生呢?會唔會好多人爭呢?我星期六已經交咗信俾校長,唔知校長會唔會睇呢?有冇人答到我呢!我真係好心急!

Agreed with RAMC, unless you fulfill the follow two conditions:
1.        Your son is very outstanding or has special talent (on sports, music….).
2.        You have special relationship with the school.
Otherwise, there’s more chance to try Kowloon Tong Gov’t school or Ying Wah…

Other parents in Ying Wa told me that according to the Principal, there have no walk in reserve places for P.1 Students even they have applied.

我也於放榜日一早放了阿囝的Profile到喇沙, 希望有轉機啦.  現在只有得個"等"字, 儘快收到La Salle的回音啦 ! 大家要抱樂觀同順其自然的態度.

喇沙小學每年都有收插班生，都尚有機會。

Do you know how many 插班生 La Salle takes each year??  Or what about the number in last year??

I sent my kid's profolio two weeks ago and again yesterday.  When I sent it yesterday, I saw there are more than 3 carton-boxes of portfolio already.  I am so worrying whether mine will be even seen or not.

So I think the chance for 插班生 is even lower than the lucky draw.

Not sure about the no. of  插班生 intake each year. My boy is studying in this school & I learnt that each year there're 1 to 2 new classmates. The performance of these  插班生 was very good.

I think you keep on sending your child's profolio to the school is OK.

我個仔以第一志願入到喇沙，但係又好担心小朋友好辛苦。聽人講日日做功課要做到好夜，辛苦到死！所以開心之餘都好驚架！如有喇沙家長請給一些資料。Thanks!!

1. 亞仔讀得好開心，對學校歸屬感強。
2. 亞媽跟得幾辛苦，除非你不是追分一族，或者能夠做到let go。
3. 課外活動多不勝數，尤其是各類球會，水準很高，所以橫掃各類校際運動比賽獎項。
4. 數學成績特出，學生得獎無數，參加國內及海外比賽成績彪炳。學校給與學生足夠及具水平的訓練。
5. 學校設施一流，地方大又靚，教學設備充足。

1. Homework can finish in 1.5 hours
2. My son is very happy
3. Parents need to follow up with school homework and other issues but I think that's normal for P1 kids.

Personally I do not recommend such kind of 功課輔導班 to the kids. I think parents are the most suitable mentors at home.

其實我都唔贊成參加功課輔導班，免得小朋友太依賴。但係有時身不由己八、九點才回家，真係好倦仲要睇亞仔Ｄ功課、默書。都真係好辛苦！我個朋友(佢嗰仔讀緊喇沙Ｐ５)講個個喇沙仔都有補習喎！係唔係咁誇張呀？

其實我都有athena123既煩惱, 而且我一年都有幾次公司 trip要去, 驚自己做得唔夠好. 其實而家我都無乜睇佢功課, 等佢自己搞掂, 但最近佢有次同我講, 話明明果次佢寫個游泳2個字好用心去寫, 但老師都係俾佢B-, 佢話'妳點同我睇功課架!', 我當時諗, 係喎! 我真係無同佢睇喎! 但把口就同佢講佢應該自己check多次. 話雖如此, 但我既感覺係好似俾老闆鬧, 因為佢係講得無錯.

I am also a La Salle mum, I have two sons.
Homework for P.1 boy is not so hard and not too much. For a working mum, you can still handle.  Since you can help him to revise during weekend and Sunday.

For year P.2 or above, it will be totally different. He will have more than seven homeworks a day. (It includes, corrections of Maths, Eng, Chinese etc).
If you don't keep close monitor to his work, or if your son cannot manage himself properly, it will be very hard for him to face those test and exam.
Also if he enrolls more than one activities in school, it definitely takes him time and reduce his revision time too. Therefore, if you don't want you son fall out of position 30 of the class, you need to do more or get a private tutor to him.

實情係誇張了。當然有喇沙仔補習，但不會是所有，只少我個仔唔係，我知我仔好多同學都唔係。坊間傳言往往愈傳愈失實。
