Can anyone share the format for pre-grade 1 interview?

How long does it take?

Two years ago, we attended the interview.It was just about 45-60mins play. Teacher asked questions and see kids' response. Meanwhile, parents were invited for a short casual interview separately. Easy. Main purpose is to test on one's English proficiency.
Heard that it is not difficult to pass but difficult to get a seat as seat are limited. The wait pool was like about 100ppl.

Fatcni, u are describing reception or pre grade one interview ?

I will have the assessment on 13 dec, and my kid's birthday is in August.

So he/she is 2012? Mine is next Monday, just 1 week in advance

Honestly, is there any real chance for non-siblings to get into pre grade 1 given there is only 8 extra seats? I already know a sibling applying and the parent said she knows at least several more applying (and who were not studying at ICS kinder).

We attended the interview test yesterday . Half of the kids cried and could not go into the room alone.

My kid too, scared to go into the room alone and thanks for ics arrangement , so caring let kid cooled down in another room. Although my kid still couldn't go into classroom alone, he finally completed the test in the "cooling room" , I just stayed far away in the same room.

Of course I think the school probably will choose those independent smart kids who go into classroom by themselves. But I was proud of my kid already he did a great job even Ned my accompany . And I really appreciate the great and caring arrangement of the ics kindergarten . Really not all kids can go into the room by themselves .

Yes reception 1

But I think not much chance since my kid did cry and couldn't go into the classroom by himself ...
