I don't think the total number of applicants are really so high, if compare to SPK, KV or St. Cat.

If you pay attention to the result announcement, the earliest number is 211056 (meaning they may starts around 211001) and the latest number is 212746 (so the ending number is around 212800).

So, you can tell the total number is around 1,800 this year.
