I want to know which school is better?
The TT is old history but the Logos is a new school, please give me the comment.

Do go to the introduction sessions of both school. Pay attention to differentiate what has been achieved what they wish to achieve.

I also think that TT is more concrete.  busypa, do you think that Pegasus is similar to Logos?  

I understand from Pegasus school that they will not prepare their secondary students to join the HKCEE or the local secondary graduation exam in future.  So don't really know what the qualification of the students will be upon graduation.  Students will likely need to get their qualification overseas.  Not sure if Logos is the same.

我想, 真道或臻美這一類的學校, 不可以簡單的以教統局的考評試來定論其學術水平高低--- 除非教統局的考評題目做出相應的改革, 命題更靈活, 多用論述、分析式題目, 少用記憶式考題.
選讀這一類學校的家長也一定要認同學校理念, 不要眼見其他讀傳統學校的小孩好像計數計得較快, 字又好像會多寫幾個 (其實未必是這樣), 就感到對學校失望. 這就好像讀國際學校, 剛開始的默書寫字一定比傳統學校差, 但最後的結果卻不是這樣看的.
只不過在香港, 傳統學校是主流, 既非真的讀國際學校, 選這些新興的非主流學校真的很考父母的定力和信念.

I agree with what you are saying, but coming back to the real world, we have to consider how our kids can go into good universities in the future after 12 years of education.  If financially we are very good, we of course can send the kids overseas after 12 years, yet in such ever changing era, we are not sure how things will go, at least I cannot say my kids must be able to study overseas after so many years.  So I always have to prepare them well so that they can be flexible enough to study in local or overseas Us.

The concepts of Logos and Pegasus are good, they offer more economic alternatives to local parents. Yet I am not sure if their graduates can apply local Us without taking the local exams, or maybe the only way out for them is to go overseas.  I believe this aspect is something worth to be considered.

For IS, they all have very clear system to follow, students study very happily, but the school also offer cirriculum which can prepare them to attend public exams, such as GCE, IB etc.  Qualification is still required for joining Universities or applying jobs in the society.  So it is very natural for me to consider what qualification the school can offer at the end.

以我所知, 不少人支持教改--- 少填鴨、少默背、多閱讀、多分析及思考, 養成主動學習...  卻仍不免對教統局是否能貫徹教改有疑慮! 畢竟, 現今在香港, 學習過程的最後一關, 仍以考試(會考)定生死, 會考的內容及形式對教學方式有絕對的影響, 這也就是現在很多人下的定論--- 除非出國, 否則還不是得走回傳統!
我的孩子尚未讀小學(K2), 和你一樣, 仍到處"打探", 但我的看法是真道、臻美、蔡繼有、港大同學會這一類的學校雖強調多元學習、全人教育, 少默背, 但因要配合香港的升學系統, 因此, 隨著年級愈高, 要求不會少, 也就是要讀得好、讀的出色, 在低年級時, 親子間的學習配合可能要更緊密--- 懂得處理孩子的發問、和孩子一起尋找答案、引發及培養孩子進一步的求知欲...  和讀傳統學校一樣要花大量心血, 只不過方向不同
以我所知, 蔡繼有、真道 、港大同學會都走 IB, 新校的 "成效" 如何, 現在沒有人可以給定論, 我會根據學校的行政表現、透明度、校長的風格、大致的評語等來評定.

Going back to the topic, it seems that 崇真 is quite a good non-traditional school, it has international section, one-through train to secondary etc.  Any parent knows more information?  Is it really non-traditional or activity-based throughout all the years?

I think TT is a semi-traditional and international school, but I want to compare the traditional school e.g. St. Rose with TT. ST. Rose is a band 1 , they have a method to teach the Englist & Chinese, however , she is a chinese primary school: The outcome is more different or same to an English primary school?

How about the 幼稚園 of TT, the teaching method is English and Putoughua ? Any comments of TT's kindergarten.
