my girl is a cantonese girl, no PTH before, after 2 years, can speak very good and native PTH.

A happy life in there! A lot of activities to be shared with parents! This week with 親子體操

With primary school back up (100 out of 300 can get a place in their P.1), very good and high standard Primary School (kids can get good offers for P.1, heard from school only), but no secondary school back up.

hello! do u mean there are lots of parent involved activities? coz I heard from other ppl that the school is a bit old style. parent do not have much chance to participate the school life.

no wor! quite a lot of opportunities:

1) X'mas party
2) Chinese New Year party;
3) Sports;
4) birthday party;
5) School picnic (Class);
6) Whole School Picnic;
7) 2 parents days

Especially after the x'mas party (they have a show by class), you can join their party in classroom.

Teachers are very experienced and nice. Actually not that old fashion and tradition.

My girl 非常有個性, 唔鍾意就什麼都不做, 但老師開學不久已說知道她性格, 並不斷讚佢鼓勵佢!

I want to ask do you know (or do the schoole provide) the P1 placement result??

For the kids that are not directly promoted to KCS p1, where did they go?????  Do they 參加派位 or do they have good performance in DSS/private school?

Actually for some of the parents will think these are enough, especially working mum.  They think this is just the right quantity

They will not visit other primary school.
Some will go back to KCS P1 and then others will go to other schools or 大抽獎。

唔係啊？咁點適應小學啊？一般小學都會帶小學參觀，模擬上課，等佢地升小學容易適應些。蘇浙呢樣要改善喔

唔係小一預備班，係通常小學會邀請學校去參觀，模擬小學生活，一般去北官，啟基，太古，基灣等

As far as I know, not all the kindergarten will have this arrangement, including the famous kindergarten.  But 蘇幼會按排去蘇小參觀。蘇幼本身校園就是一間小學。


家長如有心水小學，可問下小學有冇開放日？

My son got an offer for KCS PN, I am struggling between KCS and Vic, and hope to hear more from you on KCS ...

some people said that KCS is very strict on discipline and it may be a bit too much for a 2 years old ... do you think so?  

Also, what about its English standard?  Do you think further tuition class will be necessary?  

and lastly (which is also my biggest concern), do you know if it is easy for PN students to get a K1 place?  roughly how many % of the PN students can go up to K1?

I tried both VIC and KCS PN for my kids.  I can say KCS PN is very very good in term of fee and the activities provided by school.

In the following, please forgive me to use Chinese.  It is faster for me in typing:

我大女兒小時候讀VIC, 我覺得非常好，不過真的有點貴！小女兒都考到，還有KCS PN，
那我想沒有試過KCS, 不如試下！到了學校之後，發現學校條件比較舊就後悔！但是已經沒辦法，那就試啦！但是讀了之後，又發現很好，小女兒的普通話很好，2歲已經懂背三字經！學校也有很好的活動讓我們參與！非常好！學校有不傳統，很開心！我自己也覺得很好！加上，學費只是3千，真好！不過，他們的人均比例比較高，1：14，看你怎樣看！

不過，我承認VIC的英文很好，我兒子現在在VIC上PN, （因為KCS PN沒有校車，我沒辦法！）他學的英文是K1的程度，學校清潔、環境又好！人均比例又低！1：8 非常好！

升K1方面，肯定是VIC好, 100%上K1. KCS要面試，不一定可以，但是，基本上可以求情、等候補！機會也OK吧！

所以，兩家也很好！你決定啦！

蘇幼普通話好就係人都知, 但係英文點呢?
其實佢每日一堂英文由net 教, 比起好多其他幼稚園都多, 但好少人講蘇幼的小朋友英文好喎, 係咪真係咁差?
定純粹比起PTH, 英文唔係亮點?

no matter what kind of school, even go to york, st cat. my friend daughter studying there, extra eng course is necessary. but my friend daughter studying is KCS did not extra course, sometime it really depend on how advance of the language u want ur kid to learn. they are in primary school now, still can survive
