My son just get a P.1 placement through normal waiting list. Could any parents brief me the school academic standard, teaching method, workload of pupils?

My son was on the second batch. I just received phone call from school last saturday (09.07.2005) and went to school this Monday for registration.

Yes.  I am also on waiting list but I will not push for this school.  It is quite far from my residence at Kowloon Tong.

I will not push for this school even my husband like it. It is quite far from my residence too. But I just don't understanding why the school called the second batch waiting list instead of first batch waiting list. Then there is no meaning for classified the waiting list.

How about your son, on 1st or 2nd batch.

Not yet too.  As I said before I don't want to push for this school.  It is too far away from my place at Kowloon Tong.  But his advantage is a "one dragon" school.

My friend her son has accepted by this school asked me to prepare the profile with my letter.  She want to help me to pass to the school.  I am thinking of it.  Actually my friend is also at Kowloon Tong.

Ha Ha, need more thinking.

Have you received any call from St. Paul, I have received the call today, the lady said that they have 1 seat left but not confirmed yet, just want to ask us whether to chose them or not. And I need to confirm with them by next Monday morning. Headache really. Anyway I need to discuss with my husband first. Any comment?

At the interview, the principal yelled at me and threatened to fail my son.  Can you guess what did I do wrong?

I just asked her to let my son carry his portfolio into her room.  I forgot to ask him to carry his protfolio.  

She said "I always tell other people not to submit portfolio, I want to test the childrens my way.  I don't want to be led by your son's portfolio.  I don't have much time to go through all the portfolios.  If your son play with his portfolio, I will fail him (with her hand holding my son's portfolio swinging violently).".  

Ok, she doesn't like to read portfolios, but don't yell at me.  Don't threaten me in front of my son.  At that moment, I swallowed it for my son.  Now I want to tell her that she owes me an apology.  I swear that it is all true.  If you know the principal, I dare you to ask her.  If any people think that it is acceptable then I have nothing to say.

Don't just believe in the past, take a closer look at the school now. My son was accepted by the school last week, but I didn't accept the offer.  Ask why so many students giving up this school.  As far as I can remember, the first batch consists of more than 100 candidates.

Besides, St. Paul's College won't accept all students from St. Paul's Primary School. No through-train for sure.

The results of HKCEE exam. of St. Paul's College in the past several years were described as horrible.  I can't find the proof for that, parents who knows more please tell us.

You really need to discuss with your husband as he likes this school so much.   Many parents like this school very much because of "one dragon" and of his good education experience as well their teaching approach.

BTW, where do you live?  Do you have any issue on transportation?  My friend in Kowloon Tong she has find a private school van.
