Good Hope vs Shatin Wai Lui Ming Choi

My girl just received a late invitation for interview for Good Hope. She's already registered in Lui Ming Choi.
How would you choose between these two school.

I will choose Lui Ming Choi, because no need to pay and not bad.
But if I'm no need to worry about money, I will choose Good Hope.

Points for Good hope:
-Catholic school- as we are
- better English standard
- financially we can afford

Points for Lui Ming Choi:
- close to home
- free of charge
- good school environment with swimming pool

Really need to sort it out tonight

If there is no financial difficulties, I will choose Good Hope.  Since their English standard and exposure is better than Lui Ming Choi.  I noticed the English Reader GH using is quite difficult and at a higher level.

My very subjective view is : it depends a lot on the chararcter and ability of your girl.  GH is more suitable for docile and diligent girls.

Also depends on whether you feel it okay for your girl to have lots of homework every day.  GH girls are given a lot to do every day.

If I were you, I would opt for Shatin Wai Lui Ming Choi.  Both schools produces outstanding students.  But a co-ed. school will provide a more balanced and realistic social environment for the kids.

I choose Good Hope !  GH is absolutely a good school for girl.

LMC  I will say no really good as what the outsiders think-My personal experience.

I live in Shatin & I never think of choosing 91 net for my kids.

Good Hope is better than LMC both academic and sport.

It took me years in order to leave Good Hope Primary and be transferred to another better school. Good Hope is good for her fame only. The class is big: over 40+students per class. It is a half day school with outdated facilities. Some teachers are nasty and not caring. Even the supporting clerical staff and school bus assistant are very rude and impolite. I am glad that my daughter was able to leave this school last year. My daughter was very unhappy in Good Hope even her acedemic results were excellent.
That's my sincere advice.

真係好難揀, 要人夾人. 是否適合, 要試過先知.
I have chosen Good Hope for my daughter, eggegg, 除了以上原因,還有市僧角度 :

1.  eggegg 同一个沙呂 (大家9月升P.2) partner 上 summer grammar 堂 (私人 街坊性質), 老師 is St. Mary 舊生, 学生以 SHatin, Ma On Shan 学校為主.  上左 2 堂, 真係有一段距離.  Of course, 其一原因係 GH 教高一級.  但係 即場 comprehension (無得 study and prepare beforehand) 唔会因為咁 而有咁大分別.  老師 都覺得 eggegg is far above 佢 d 補習学生.  中文就沙呂好, 成日作 文.

2. 中学 factor: eggegg 有2個舊同学在沙呂, 話呂中同沙呂關係唔係咁 close.  I am not sure and u better verify this.  在 Good hope, 幾乎全數上.  上年 F.1 (9月升F.2)要加開一班 F.1. = 第日無セ位放比外人

3.  後路: 中途轉校插班去次一等学校 nad/or from traditional to active approach easy d.  有朋友, 又係成績幾好 (around 95+/-2 on average for main subjects), 但又頂唔順 d 谷校作風, 暑假中期只寄上 report 去 Kowloon Tong 某無 中学的英文私小, 完全免 interview, 免 exam, 收左.  school life 的確 relax 左, 不過現在好 regret, 要 prepare 升中問題.  相反, 由沙田出出面 and/or 由 GH去 更高層次, 難度高 d, 要過幾關.

4. others:
--September rebuild campus and hope to be completed in 2-3 years which includes an indoor 50-m swimming pool
--個別人事又真係幾 rude and 寸寸貢, 不過又係小朋友最受歡迎人物. 無計.
--但又有個別好細心, 小朋友小小口角都 call 到我爆機.
--個人因素: 亞媽當年又係 P.1, 3, 5 返下 午, P.2,4,6 返上年, 40+人一班, 重要頂埋d白鴿眼同学,老師同家長,又無人 support, 加下都仲係度 幫手, eggegg 無理由唔得, 未打先認輸.  如果 eggegg 唔掂 (= 要認命 lor) or 唔開心, 咪走 lor. 一定有容身之所.

我都好同情 GH teachers (我都教過書), 又怕炒,  又怕得罪 d bossessssssssssssssssssss. 我跟1个都好似返半日工, 仲要無人工.  GH teachers d AQ and EQ 真高過出面.  
我絕對係合作型.  如果你屋企人教 eggegg, 無セ事唔好揾我.

eggegg 來自 active approach KG, 初初怕佢 adjust 唔到 traditional approach.  好彩 ok, 無抗拒 many homework, summer holiday 跟团去 trip 都帶埋 optional 暑期作業, 貪重咩.
