Yes, it's me.  yes, my hubby and I finished secondary school before moving to the US.  We're Catholics too.  Maybe we know each other?

Since we're Catholics, we would say Catholic schools are the best, hehe!  Actually, I'm not physically in HK and I can't really answer your questions.  But, my parents are primary school teachers and they may be able to help you.  Let me ask them and I'll get back to you soon.

I am Catholic and studied in Catholic schools.  However, I don't think we should compare schools using in terms of religions, both types of schools are equally good, just depends which religion you trust.  Schools with religious background usually have more moral lessons for students, and will train them to be more disciplined.  This is same for Catholic or Christian schools.  If you don't have religions, it does not matter.  It is better to understand the quality of the school rather than the religion.

I'm not saying Catholic schools are the only good schools.  In another way, if the schools are good, it doesn't matter what the religion is.  Good schools have good students but do have bad students, and vice versa.  My husband and I would prefer to put our child in a Catholic school because we're Catholics.  We think the moral education would suit our child more.  I think everybody is different and we have difference preferences.  Since we are Catholics, it makes sense that we would put the religion on one of the top priorities.  .  It's just my preference.

My dad is a principal of a Christian基督教 primary school in HK.  This is his comment: 天主教辦學一般比基督教嚴謹，若只有5分（How come？）而無兄姊在校的，較難。

Hope it helps.  My dad said it's a little difficult but it doesn't mean there's no chance or you should give up.  Good luck.

I'm studying in a Catholic primary school and a Christian secondary school, and have no believe in religious so far.  I think it is true that Catholic school is more traditional and quite 嚴謹 to the students.  Some parents may not like Catholic school as they prefer to have more freedom to the children, and on the other hand, some may consider it as better moral education like me.  There is no right or wrong, but just depends on the parents or the children.

There is no point to compare Christian or Catholic schools, as both have top top schools like DGS, DBS of Christian, or MCS, La Salle, St Paul of Catholic.  But of course, there seems more in Catholic which had a longer history in HK.

我同我老公都係由小讀天主教學校直至畢業的，而家個仔都係讀番老公間母校。
就我自己間學校而言，因為係修女學校，佢地都比較嚴的。但某程度上不是以威迫令學生就範，學校總強調”self discipline”。學校都花幾多時間向我們灌輸morals規範，有些事情由小已根深柢固，要我地明白咩可以做，咩唔可以做。
反而我老公間學校是比較鼓吹「自由」的，神父亦沒強行向學生傳教，學生可因應自己意願，有時我都唔明，我老公讀了十幾年都唔背得出天主經…只因學校從沒強迫參與宗教活動。呢方面跟天主教女校有點不同，女校好多時都是compulsory 要學生參與某些宗教儀式的。
另現今的派位制度雖有宗教分而令其入讀機會提高，但因老牌天主教學校畢業生眾多，天主教徒亦不是把握十足架。以我仔嗰班為例，一班42人，全班只得6個天主教徒，佔全班百分率約15%，另有50%是統一派位的，不是教徒但運氣好的話，都還是有機會的。
