HKA vs ESF

We have offers from HKA and ESF. Any advice on which one to choose? HKA is a lot more expensive. how different is HKA from ESF?

We really care about academics and Chinese. Thank you!

Would CIS fit you more ?

We should have applied for CIS but we didn't because we feel the vacancies for outsiders were very limited. We do consider applying for CIS at the end of Y6. But traditional Chinese would be a problem whether we enter HKA or ESF.

Hka: small class size, culture diversity, I am not sure about the Chinese standard, do they have different pathways

Esf: more local students, Chinese standard in pathway 3 more or less comparable with local school standard in secondary school, much cheaper than HKA

Academic result comparable, or Esf is slightly better.

i guess HKA has no pathways for Chinese, as they do not have that many local students anyway. I will check.

btw, how about NAIS? we got an offer from them too. they appear to emphasize academics, and they have Chinese pathways too. but they require students to learn Spanish in addition to Chinese starting from Y5.

Our son is in HKA and we absolutely love it so far.

We prefer the American way more than the British way so our preference might not be exactly the same as yours though.

we prefer American style too. but the chinese level is concerning to us.
