My son learn Piano for 1-1/2 yrs and reaching grade 2 standard. He learns piano in Liu Shin Kun and the fee is $420/lesson.

I am considering his process is not really fast. Is it still worth to pay such high fee? Please comment.

If 420/lesson, I think it is too expensive

what level of teacher are you using??

i know that there are 3 different levels of teacher...with different price..

講一個笑話俾您們聽 : (由我同事轉告)

我有個同事，她的仔仔在一間琴行學梗一級鋼琴，我的同事見那位老師教得不錯；而她又想仔仔學多一天 (即一週學兩天)，於是便向琴行提出可否學多一天(週五，3:45-4:15 放學便去學)，回覆如下 :

琴行接待職員說老師話週五 "那時段"不會去琴行教的，因為她5:00才有學生開始上堂，若上到4:15她便有45mins空檔。

於是我同事很厚道便說可以學4:30-5:00(最多仔仔放學留在圖書館看一會書)，但那位老師又說她週五是5:00開始上堂，若果要她早來，就當作私人教授學費計算。(我同事也很精明，知道大概貴15-20%左右)，便在一個週二仔仔上課後接仔仔放學時向老師問及價錢。

可能那位老師知道我同事是大律師，所以一定"賺"很多錢，而且平時我的同事也很"捨"得洗錢在仔仔身上，於是便"大開殺價"，每堂收$600.00(即一個月$2,400/4堂，一級)。這時我同事知道那位老師頗貪心，便問她其實早30分鐘來對她有什麼損失，那位老師竟然說 "我很有時間觀念，若早30分鐘來便是我的私人時間，所以收私人學生的價錢"。

我同事然後問琴行職員如果她決定"當"那時段是私人教授，那麼還需否交多一次學費(即30分鐘一級學費$420/4)給琴行。那職員回覆 : 當然要啦 ! 您個仔仔再我們那兒學琴，用我們的琴及老師，我們都要將學費分佣給老師的"。我同事想 "玩"下去，便跟那貪得無厭的老師及職員說 : "mug唔係私人教咩 ? 點解又要老師再抽佣 ? 職員死撐 "咁至少你都要當租琴啦 !"我同事又說 "我只交租琴錢都得啦 !"

此時那位老師竟說 "您咁有錢，都沒有所謂啦 !"我同事馬上說 "咁算拉 ! 咁麻煩 ! 我去對面xx琴行報週五班，他們的老師都願意早小小回來教多一個學生，係你地咁奇怪je" 便帶住仔仔離開。

再下一個月，他們覺得對面的琴行也很好，連週二都調到那兒學了。

"貪字得個貧" !

那麼我想請問教授班是否真的教得特別好 ? 我知道教授班真的貴很多的。您都好捨得wor !

我女兒現在學七級每堂1小時都係$520一堂jar !

haha that company deserved it.
grade one...$600 for 30 mins?
that is too expensive, and the child ist just trying to have some fun.
Secondly, did she manage to teach students who win prizes at music festival?
even my piano teacher charged me around $720 when i was playing grade 7 la!
