請問"國際習憶法 Advanced Learning Systems" 有無效呢?!

唔..因為個課程好貴~~~  我本來想想.. 但..個miss 幾次挽留..結果俾左500~~訂金~~ 但..因為..為左個女..但..家境會令到..好大負擔....唉..唔知點好..可以有人話俾我知嗎?!!

My friend sent 2 kids there and spent  HK$14k 2 years ago . The methods taught were not worth the money at all, like memorizing nos. using Major system, association , Rome location method etc. And her kids knew no much better to practise and the after-course follow-up service is close to zero.

I reviewed the handout and found that you can get similiar course at ~HK$800 or less.  If I were you, I would forget the deposit of $500 and not enrolling into the course.

嘩，太貴了！我個仔9歲，正在讀速讀班，大約100元1堂上16堂。唔知同你講的"國際習憶法"同不同。他們速讀班都要訓練閱讀的速度，記憶力和理解力。  上課的氣氛很好，小朋友喜歡去上堂。有興趣可去聽他們的免費介紹講座

Dear Amamda_cara,

My friend used to be the teahcer of the 國際習憶法. He said that this course is ABSOLUTELY not worth such a high price ( i.e over $ 10000 ) . The methods taught in this course are also not so practical. Don't waste your money and time.

Ask yourself one question: What'my expectations towards such training system?

--A signification enchancement towards memory system? (No, remember Only Practise makes Perfect).
--My kids will become very hardworking/diligent/a fast-learner? (good memory skill not equvilant to learning attitude, globalization of next generation focus on people with multi-skills  e.g. our hot talk of Liberal studies being adopt in secondary school.) It is concise that  problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, life-long learning atttitude are some key issue for next generations.

It's only worthwhile for working adults who were looking for shortcuts (for second degree, further study.)

多謝你留言問讀完速讀班，閱讀能力是否提高了。

我不是專家，但聽過介紹講座和旁聽了兩課，有信心小朋友上完16課後會提閱讀能力，這是指速度，記憶和理解的能力。

阿仔只上了4課，因為專注地讀，且要求不要逐字讀，自然快了，但他的理解力暫時仍未追上速度的增加，相信遲些會有改善。阿仔自己覺得記憶力都有提高，相信亦是與專注有關。

青少年和成年人都有幫助，但愈年輕學習，愈易掌握速讀技巧，相信會終身受用。我的工作要看很多文件，若以前學過速讀法就好了。現在學效果冇咁好。

不過我開始同阿仔溫書時，用了部份速讀技巧來替他溫習，效果幾好。遲些可再同你分享。

你有興趣，可去中心聽他們的免費介紹講座。

1.  我上過幾堂, 真是很有用. 學會方法後,
效果幾好 !  是真的.

2. 問題只是，也真的太貴太貴了，其實在街上書店, 甚至圖書館也有類似的書教.

Dear all,

Learning or intelligence starts from memory . The way of learning is to create quality memory of experience which we can recall to work on them later on, we called such things knowledge or skills.

That's why aged people suffering from Pakinson's disease face such painful experience of fading/lost memory. Severe cases can even forget who they are.

Some rare learning-problem cases are such that they can't create long term memory at all , i.e. they only live in the recent present with no memory of the past, or fail to create long-term memory.

It has been proven that memory methods such as visualization and association are very powerful memory tools to memorize things to lasting memory. However,
what our kids would need is the ways to apply such methods for the materials that needed to be memorized.

All related books or courses mainly teach you the methods without the possible ways to apply them in their daily learning study, so they're of little value then.
