Does anyone know where I can take my son (5 yrs old) to learn chess on the HK side?

What kind of chess you meant?
Do you mean that of 'Go' as mentioned in the newspapers a few days ago.

I believe it's Go (圍棋), the most popular chess game in HK now.  The HK Go Association is in Wan Chai.

My grand son of 5 years old now, he has learned,  Go (圍棋), 5 lessons in Kowloon, I also have learned with him to-gether for the lesson No. 3,4 and 5 and going to learn No. 6 at this night (5th Jan, 2005). I feel the instruction were quite good and understood, but I think it is too young for my grand son started from 4-l/2, he should stop for a while until 6 years old, and join again.

Thanks alwong, but the chess I was talking about is the English chess. My husband said it's better for him to learn English chess than 圍棋.

I think you are talking about the 'International chess', you may find easily in Yahoo.com game. Go there you may find it yourself.
