熱門直資小學 明年小一增至十班

(星島日報報道)今年小學縮班情況稍為緩和，有受歡迎直資小學已計畫在明年擴班。將軍澳真道書院計畫在○六學年，把小一新生人數，由目前每年二百一十人，  增加至三百人，增幅逾四成。校長丘日謙更在招生簡介會上透露，該校長遠會把目前兩個校區，擴展成四至五個校區。
　　踏入九月，小學除了應付新學年開課，亦要為○六學年收生做宣傳。真道書院剛舉辦了五場招生簡介會，吸引逾二千名家長入場。校長丘日謙向家長透露該校的擴展大計，由明年開始，小一學額將由目前二百一十個，增至三百個。

　　在增加學額之後，真道書院的小一，會由目前七班增至十班，丘校長強調，該校不會「金字塔」模式升班，為解決學校空間問題，正研究擴校計畫。他透露有意把目前真道書院小學部及中學部兩個校區，擴展成四至五個校區，但這是長遠計畫，短期則會研究在現有校區內加建課室。

　　教統局常任秘書長羅范椒芬，在三個月前出席真道書院獻校禮時，曾表示受家長歡迎的學校，應研究多收學生，又歡迎真道書院開辦分校。丘校長表示，明年增加小一學額，是回應家長需求，原因是每年都有逾千名學生報讀真道，但學額只有二百一十個，向隅者眾。

　　在○二年開辦的真道書院屬於直資學校，每年學費二萬元，收生不受派位機制所限，○六年小一入學申請在九月十五日截止。丘校長表示，會在九月七日舉辦最後一場招生簡介會，並隨即在九月十七及二十四日，進行首階段面試。

　　他表示校方會透過一小時的集體面見，透過對話觀察學生表現及評分，選出四百人進入第二階段面試，屆時會由校長親自會面家長，決定是否取錄﹔申請結果暫定於十一月十四日公布。

　　另外，○六年九月入學的全港小一自行收生階段，將於九月中展開，教統局下周會出版最新《小學概覽》，為家長提供選校資訊。發言人表示，家長在此階段可選擇一所心儀小學，並在九月二十六日至三十日交回申請表。

I agree the famous and esteemed schools to extend their size so as to provide more choices for parents. Most important the teaching and learning quality would be maintained as long as the expansion and growth.

Since education is not a manufacturing process, no formula would be adopted for each unique learner and thousands of evolvement and interaction occur during the process. I wonder the concept of mass production would be used in eduation, especially for a newly established school even it shows good results in all aspects. If I were a principal, I would pay all my attention to the existing students and I would treat my students prospects as my life long business. Education is education. It is not a business deals which the businessmen would expand on their most favourable time in order to seek the new capital, market share, public offer in security market and running away.    Obviously I am not talking anyone but myself. One more mass production always produces uniform and dull products

真道現己有28班(4x7),將來再加10班共有38班,現校舍己不能容納,想必真道已令覓分校。

I think it is due to the sudden rise in the birth rate in the year 2000--the Golden Dragon Year. These little dragons are going to P.1 in Sept. 2006.

學校要腳踏實地,量力而為,實事求是!家長要自求多福!

多少名校每年報考人數過千,收生也是寧缺無濫.尤其是當學校的管理和運作尚未上軌道之時,是否有點操之過急呢?
