Re: 做夢者的追求
I strongly agree with Li that our life should have a dream in order to drive us to step forward, to explore a new horizon, to excel one's excellency, to achieve incredible achievements.....
The importance of having a dream could be fully demonstrated by the virtue of Dr. Martin Luther King, who was the famous leader of civil rights movement and also the Nobel Price owner. In his famous speech "I have a Dream" delivered in 1963 to more than 200,000 civil-rights marchers at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., he said, "I still have a dream....", "Let freedom ring". His dream eventually became his driving force of liberating the people's acquisition of human rights and equality of different human races in U.S. in the early 60's.
John Lenon also had a dream. His dream drove him to accomplish incredible achievements and eventually become the musical legend in the history of rock and roll music. The dream of John Lenon can fully reflect in his famous song "Imagine" as follows:-
Imagine
"Imagine there's no heaven,
It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
living for today...
Imagine there's no countries,
It isn't hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...
Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer,
but I'm not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one."
I hope I could practise Li's virtue and his faith in fulfilling my dreams one day.
Wishing your and your child dream will come true one day!!
