Sonicgina is your little one studying on RM? How do u like about the school, teachers and curriculum?

My son has studied in RM. As it is too expensive, I have withdrawn from the school. Everything needs money, for example, no food is allowed on sports day, therefore you have to buy a meal through the school. Each of them costs around $100. But there is only a bread, a small slice of cake, an apple and a bottle of water.l You need to buy two as you and your son needs to buy. For the picnic, including the transportation fee, my family (husband, me and my son) takes around $800.

For curriculum, it is mainly flash card and songs. As my son does not speak well, can't tell if it is good.

Yes, my son is K1 now in Rightmind (a bilingual kindergarten). He is enjoying it and he is very chatty at home, though he can be a little shy in public and in new situations. I was planning to put him into a bilingual primary school but if some parents want their children into local school that mainly use Cantonese that maybe no need think Rightmind.
My son has been there since September 2012. He is very happy going to school and making new friends and loving his teachers. Both his English and Mandarin have improved a lot (Mandarin from zero). The only downside is the number of students in the class. They have 28 (max) currently with 2 teachers (1 native English, 1 native Mandarin) and 1 assistant. So I am not too happy with the teacher to student ratio.  But apart from this, I am generally quite happy with the school. It's pretty academic.

I think too. As my daughters kept crying after interview with the net teacher , buy got an am offer too.

My girl in RM. PN is now near marina club in Sham Wan. for flashcard training, i guess we cannot see immeidate impacts but eventually can see the kid has absorbed so much. when i think my girl has happy school life but didnt learn much, she one day talked to me some accurate mandarin to reply our chat using the right vocab, the other day pointed to me and said that is a "1" in number, and other time told me that is a pizza and this one is bigger but she wants small one. etc.  tutition fee is not comparable to other kindergarten not targeting the same group of parents, so i guess we can put aside the topic of costs, though you can see below my comments about cost effectiveness. We are not paying for the brand but something real.

Teachers are caring and provide timely updates on my kid if there is any abnormal they have observed. They would not call me right away unless it is physically urgent and would email me timely. It is very reasonable and make parents not to be over tied up by school communications while hinting us if we see their calls, it must be urgent. My kid can speak english in sentences when she is around 2 yr and 3-4 months, which is impressive as i didnt push/train her at all and i only speak to her in cantonese. Mandarin is in good progress too. Music is certainly need not mentioned since she enjoys singing and dancing. flashcard training made her have good memories and able to name nearly everyone in her classes in english names whenever she sees each one. teacher told me she can name their mandarin names too. primary school allocation, you can see from their website.  my kid can count and know the contrasting concepts in maths which my friend told me is not easy at this 2 year old age. so i supposed the school has done very good job..... overall, my kid has strong character on what she likes or dislikes but still can manage her when i give her reasons on why something is not allowed. I understood teachers also manage the discipline in similar manner. At least i do not worry my girl has got bullied since i am so sure she would refuse to go RMKG if there is such incident. only one thing is that it is a good school at a cost to parents. yet, it is worth of it since i see some real positive progress which happens day-to-day.....

between, it is incorrect to say that RMKG gives offer to everyone. Some ppl i know got rejected. it is true that their no of applicants is not as many as other schools which have bigger brand names or lower costs or better locations. However, i noted many parents would move to south district for RMKG, including myself. This speaks for everything i guess.
