Re: DBSPD 開始交表喇!
Dear All,
I don't believe they will ask your kid to swim/play piano in front of them as they havn't mentioned that and never heard this experience from my friends of last year P.1 application.
This time they have mentioned clearly that they won't interview the parents but only the kids. First round takes 30% out of 100% and 2nd round 50%. All depends on kid's performance, @10% for old boys/same religion but only count in the 2nd round. Thought it's much fair than last year.
For the language they used, provided that your kid can only speak English, otherwise, they will mostly start with Chinese, that's what I heard from the briefing session. And these are all clearly mentioned in the guideline for documents required before filling the application form.
One thing I think which is most important that parents should check clearly if they submit every documents the school required before they arrived the school (only copies for supporting documents) because I saw some of them forgot the ID copies of parent(s), or envelope with return mailing address, or just prepare the cheque in front of them.
For the kid's profile, since they required 2 years of school results' copies, I don't think 10 pages are enough, so lot of parents still prepare their own files (of course more than 10 pages). And it's up to you whether you think 10 pages are eough or not. And hereby I would suggest parents to put their kid's documents into a binding file but not just using a clip. Of course, it's much appropriate for one of the parent to submit the application form as I saw someone assigned their grand parent by doing this and when they asked for some questions, or some missing documents, grand parent can help little.....!
Above is only opions of mine, hope it's useful for you all.
