Personal view on DGJS

Hello to all anxious and nervous parents ...
My daughter will be attending the interview this month as well.  I would like to say that relax and don't put too much pressure on your daughter.  I am an "old DGS girl" and I would like to spent some of my views with you all.  I am not brought up in a rich and famous family, but since my mom (she don't know a single word of English, not much educated ...) but I was admitted to this school.  I have spent 12 years in DGJS/ DGS and had a splendid and fruitful time.  Just sit back and relax, I would say, all we need is "luck + fate" : )

Is there any difference in the interview no.? My daughter meeting number is 4-digit. and she will be attending the interview in the middle of November.

I just wonder whether the school will interview those will relationships to the school earlier or later. As I heard some schools will interview those with brothers and sisters studying at the schools earier than the others.

I really don't know.  Although I am an "old girl", I don't really hang around with those active "alumni girls", so I don't have a full picture of how they screen the girls in the interview ...  anyways, just keep out fingers crossed.  Good Luck all...

Take it easy and relax!
There are a lot of factors that will affect the result of your daughter's interview, which we don't know and not under our control.
If you think that the underlying factors may make your daughter having a higher priority:
1. Mother is an old girl
2. Elder sister is currently studying in the school
3. Come from some famous kindergarten (SC, CCKG)
4. Good family background (parents are professional, rich)

Sorry, you are wrong, sometimes these don't work.
I knew that last year two girls studying in CCKG whose mothers were old girls failed the application.
Another girl studying in CCKG whose parent were both doctors also failed.
Another girl whose elder sister was studying in the school also failed.
So, relax. If you think that the school is suitable to your daughter and your daughter is capable to study in the school, and you have the ability & time to support her, just let her try.
But, but, but don't have very high expectation & displace your disapponitment to your dear daughter!

Hi Sadsam,

Not 12 years ago.  It's 20++ years ago ............
As far as I can recall, I have to sit for a written exam (English + Chinese).
