DSS vs. International Primary School, which is better?

Want to invite discussion on DSS and international primary school?

Hi Martie,

I prefer my kids going to DSS if it is possible , then international schools if they aren't accepted by DSS. Usually both DSS and international schools offer Chinese lessons but I think DSS offer better Chinese foundation to kids.

Well...at least the playground language is Chinese (kids speak Chinese to each other). Also the school fees in DSS are not as expensive as international schools' (general speaking).

What about your opinions?
Is your kid going to study in p1 next year?

Yes.  Still choosing from international school, DSS, Private and government and subsidised school.  Difficult to make my decision.

Hi Martie,
Have you considered putting your son into ESF? Do you know the differences between ESFs and international schools? It seems they are very similar to me. Regarding to the school fee, is ESF's less expensive than international schools' (general speaking)? Which ESF is good (your opinion)?

For me, I would love to choose a school near home provided that the school isn't too bad. I don't want my kids spend a lot of time on the transport everyday (very tiring....).
