Tack Ching Primary school (Shumshuipo)

Hi,

Anyone know about this private school.  This is English Primary school.  Could any existing parents can share their teaching method?  Is it easy to be accepted by this school?  As their registration fee is quite expensive HK$1000.00 compare others around HK$400-500.00.  pls share it is worth to register at this school?

Will arrange a course on Hanyu Pinyin (a Mandarin phonetic transcription system) is now organized for those who have paid the reservation fees. A total of 15 lessons will be held on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00, between 19th November, 2005 and 25th March, 2006 (excluding public holidays). The course is free of charge. Parents only need to pay a fee of 50 dollars for the teaching materials.

My daughter is now studying there in P5.  She just jointed the school this term.  Compare with the previous school.  There are many appreciated changes on her.  She is more motivated, willing to take initiative on her study.  More mature than before and will try to learn new things.  She likes the school very much.

They use Mandarin to teach Chinese subject (P1-P3), except GS & RS.  For the other subjects, they use English.  They will divide kids into a few groups; in the group kids will help each other on study.  They have assessment & quiz on main subjects (for  eg. Maths - quiz & assessment every week, for other subjects - quiz & assessment on one topic finished).  I think this is really good to both student and parents.

Principal & teachers are good, always encourage the child to do better.  Willing to discuss & advise with you on your child’s progress.

Yes, My daughter is studing in K3 at Tack Ching Kindergarden.

Have many boys studying.
Ratio : Boys : Girls  (Not sure)

I paid the fee before.

No need to interview if yr child studying in Tack Ching Kingdergarden. (Just present the relevant doc. for approval )

My girl is the existing kgt student, I applied and paid the reservation fee $1,000.00. I received a letter from TCPS.  A free 漢語拼音班 for one who paid the fee.  It will held 15 lessons to be started from 19/11 to March 2006 which is unexpected.  As they want P1 students have a good foundation and basic knowledge on 漢語拼音 . A lot of schools received your fee which is reserved the seat only.  Compared with this, TCPS is too nice and 大方, $1,000.00 for 15 lessons. we don't have any lost.

My girl is now studying P5.  In her class, as I know the no of girls are more than boys.  But the other thing is the birth ratio in her year is also girls more than boys too!
