Dear JJ97,

        In fact , today is the 簡介會 for parent, and only have interview session for kids. As 校長 said that they will send the 2nd interview letter on and b4 the end of Oct , the interview will be held on the early of Nov. After 簡介會, I like this school very much, because I got the idea and passion from 校長.

我本來諗住報啟基做後備, 如果本區直資唔得都有選擇(因本區津校一般), 聽完簡介會, 想改為第一選擇......但真系遠咗D, 同要計下入讀後洗費? 如果學費+校車+午餐+1-2項課外活動,每月 $6000可否COVER?
有無家長有資料?

非常同意Smiletigger & CarnationBB既意見, 感覺學校非常有心, 自問去了咁多簡介會, 未試過有茶點享用, 未試過interview前收到學校致電的reminder, 提時間, 日期, 重有SMS提小朋友要帶外套, 水等等, 其他學校
"彩"你都傻, 你可以話因為佢無咁多人報, 所以care啲, 但都500人選96人, 5選1, 佢地都有大把選擇, 但真係感覺到實在在乎每位家長同小朋友的心意, 佩服
但都係$$$學費, 係我地唯一要唸既問題.

FYI:

My kid is in P.1 this year and the spending for this Oct:

school fee = $3969 (and have to pay 11 months per school year)
lunch = $28 x 19 = $532
school bus from eastern Kln to school (outside co. not the school co., as the latter is more expensive) = $770
ECA (1 item only) = $780 / 3 mth = $260

Other spending:
Books = around $2000 for whole year
Summer uniform around $1000, winter uniform around $1500
Miscellaneous fee = around $1000 per 6 months
Other items (e.g. assembly book etc) maybe $800 per year (can't remember exact)

Yes, it's money money money. Like many of you, I did not put it as 1st choice at the beginning, but its ranking (in my own mind) increased each time after I visited the school last year. Now my girl always thanks me for choosing CCS for her (seriously!)

还很想知道它的band1率大概有多少. 这是现实的问题,好学生(好品格和成绩好)每间学校都有,只是比例的问题而已.

識小朋友讀, 比較其它直資官津, 是較淺, 不知中學大部份去邊 ?

My kid just started in this school for 1.5 months... too early to speak of any change. But I think the "reading scheme", the library and the librarian are really good. She enjoys reading more and more. Yesterday I read her the book she borrowed from school library, and it's an English book written by somebody in Singapore - good theme, good English

聽完個簡介會，我都好感動﹗好鍾意﹗好想阿仔可以係啟基讀。但，學費+雜費真係頗貴，平均每月約需6,000元，仲未計課餘興趣班。好煩惱呀...

Totally agreed with "Onmami", 我問過主任, 可否申請減學費, 佢話因為係私校, 要自負盈虧, 如果家長因為"破產"等等既理由申請, 校董會會按case研究, 不過從未試過law.  我地呢地又唔係公務員,  又唔係中產, 我重要有兩個仔, 真係好難負擔呀........ 如果學校可以減學費就好啦 發夢中....

我阿女今年升年k1, 我打算俾佢讀啟思,之後想入啟基小學 ,但有家長覺得啟基係活動教學,課程比較淺,小朋友之後如果入返主流中學會否追得好辛苦？？你有冇呢個擔心??
