第二年再考小一

我想請教各位,如果心儀的小學fail了,可否明年再考小一(因我兒是年尾出生, 不會太大)? 學校會不會不喜歡收這樣的留級生? 請各位分享一下經驗.

I have this problem too.  My daugther was also borned in December.  I am considering to let her try once in K3, if she can not enter satisfactory school, I may let her to repeat K3 for one year.  Any parent has this kind of experience to share?

Dear Keleron,

No, it is because each kids just can apply one time to choose their primary school. If you applied but repeated in K3, you will not have another chance in the coming year. That means you give up the 9 years free education from government.

In Government P1 seat allocation, only one chance per life for each child.  For Private school, there is no such limit.

我也想過 repeat K3, 但怕如第二年也考不到喜歡的學校, 而第一年派的學位又沒有了, 因第一年K3已經要填表派位.

All depends on the child's ability.
If he is not up-to-standard, it is better for him to repeat in either K.2 or K.3.
Everyone has one chance for school allocation through luck draw which only depends on luck but not his standard/talent.
But private school or direct subsided school needs up-to-standard students.

我諗好既學校,會收現正升讀小一既學生先,呢批學生都夠爭了,如果重讀小一,應該唔會優先考慮,我諗原因係,好地地佢地都唔會提議重讀一年,成績未如理想,好學校亦唔會考慮,但p.2轉校又另當別論,因為升小一同升中一,呢兩個關口,係要搞掂d學生,settle down晒先,所以如果你只問轉校插班重讀,係無咩特別問題,但要指明係小一既話,就要等現正升讀小一坐定晒,先輪到你了,不過凡事都會有例外既....
