good but harsh.

my daughter has just finished the 2 years course of junior music class at tom lee.  very good experience.  the teacher is good in patient and in some aspects, she still keeps the class discipline.  very lucky that all kids are smart and parents are hard working and really care their children, always try to do good at the class.  so the atmosphere is very encouraging.

but u have to ready yourself for the course, it's quite intensive.  u've got to push your kid to practise on the piano and finish homework everyweek.  don't rely on your phillipino helper or grandparents.  u will find there are so many things to remember and drop down, then go back home and train your kid as told by the teacher.  those not accompanied with parents, usually dropped in the first few months.

for the final examination, a kid need to sing a song, play five songs, indentify notes and chords on the lyrics, medolies play by the teacher.  this is a harsh work.

我大仔舊年已完成2年的jmc,如tungtungma所言,真是不錯。
細仔就仲讀緊,不過一定要父母陪囉,如無時間陪仔女就要考慮吓。
大仔好彩亦要排了近6個月,細仔就排了1年有多先到呀。

你個仔得2歲7個月,佢地唔會call 你架,到佢足3歲同有course先會call你,想學要等,我細仔當佃都等左1年有多。

yamaha course 有唔同level, 最多人讀係音樂小天地(MW) 及兒童音樂班 (JMC)

MW: 讓幼兒自小接觸音樂及感受其樂趣。三歲的幼兒無論在體力、智力及情緒等方面均發展迅速，音樂小天地班為小朋友提供一個輕鬆愉快的學習環境，讓他們與父母、老師和同學一起學習唱歌、聆聽音樂、節奏訓練、音樂欣賞及鍵盤遊戲等。幼兒更可透過音樂學習與別人分享及溝通的技巧。

JMC: 兒童音樂班為YAMAHA兒童課程之根基。為期2年的課程主要訓練兒童 聽覺能力，分辯不同音符及音色。兒童透過聆聽、歌唱及鍵盤彈奏來 學習音樂三大要點，包括節拍、旋律及和聲。課程尤其著重發掘兒童 的想像力及創造能力。

上課用電子琴, 可讓小朋友聽到多種不同樂器的聲音. 而又懂得彈琴. 但這個不是鋼琴課程, 是音樂基礎的訓練, 不能與學鋼琴比較. 有些小朋友學完這個課程, 就學小提琴或其他樂器, 電子琴都有!
當然, 個老師好唔好都好重要!!!

Where did your children learn? Is it TST Centre? My daughter learned MW at Shatin and it will be finished soon. I want to learn JMC at TST Centre since I moved to Kowloon. Any comments? Is the teacher at TST good?

我大仔沙田學的,我覺得沙田星期六下午的miss chan幾好,幾有心機,對小朋友有一套,我知佢逢星期三在九龍灣都有教,不過唔知你有無時間陪佢上堂。
tst我就唔清楚喇。
星期六如你可以帶小朋友入沙田就排miss chan喇,我個仔有d同學在九龍(鑽石山)住都入來跟佢架。
