我今日報咗名,係浸大聯辦我唸唔係咁差呱,level 1 total20classesx1.5hrs  hk$3500另加 hk$500  for supportig materials(可用到level 4) 係8 apr - 2 sep06上堂.website -  http://www.sfahk.org

我之前都見過, o個時full左, 諗住佢開第二期, 但係等左成年都未有, 而家又有番, 不過我仔已經學左IPA, 唔洗再學phonics喇.

IPA 是否見每個生字, 都係先查字典, 跟音標讀?可用於其他語言?

phonics :見每個生字, 都是自行拚音, 字典查吾到的, 都可讀到.. 但只限於英文?

我個囡係將軍澳上咗五堂,她很喜歡,四堂後有一次assessment,第五堂學reading story．暫時仍然在觀察期．未知成效．

YMCA 是用 Jolly Phonics, 上堂人數是1: 12-15. 只是1hr. 另外有可以家長陪同的．

而Alphie's Lagoon 是另一套教phonics 的方式, 上堂人數是1: 4-8. 有每週兩次1hr 或每週一次1.5hr.

兩者都是中國人教, 前者較平$1100/10hr/3mths, 後者較貴 $3500/30hr + $500 course material/4mths.

但我都好想知哪一套教材好ｄ？ Letterland ? Jolly Phonics or Alphie's Lagoon? Any comments?

囡囡今年五歲半. 我唔知道jolly　ｐｈｏｎｉｃｓ的教材，無得比較，但是每堂都有兩三張ｐａｐｅｒ派．　

她現在學　ｅ．ｇ．”ｃ”－”ａ”－”ｔ”，　”ｃ”的發音，”ａ”的發音，”ｔ”的發音，然後教快速讀法．　第五堂開始教ｒｅａｄｉｎｇ story book, 由　ｅ．ｇ　"I am　ａ　Ｔａｄ．”　然後教佢自己讀，　現在是開始，　我相信要完成一個　”ｌｅｖｅｌ”，才見效果．

我問個囡老師是否全用英文，　佢話有個男仔唔識聽，　老師都是慢慢用英文同佢講．

Yes, located at Nam Fung.  Alphie is the name of alligator.  It is a toy, the teacher will use it as one of the instruments to attract the children to talk and communicate.  The teacher told me that the children will practice with each other during the lesson.

But, the size of classroom is very very small.  Her class has 5 students.

My daughter enrolls in the SFA course at Nan Fung (TKO). Think twice before you enroll because they keep changing the instructor. In my daughter's case, the 1st instructor left after the 3rd lesson and then the course director took charge of the assessment in the 4th lesson and then a new "fresh" instructor started to teach from the 5th lesson. Personally, I don't feel comfortable with this.

If you want to give it a try, I suggest you choose to pay by installment.... at least you have a chance to quit without losing much money.
