My daughter joined last year, it was really a hard time for a girl of age 9. I think may be a bit better when children go there older. They need you to dress up like a soldier, long sleeve and plant, as you know during summer, it is extremely hot in China. My daugher was lost weight when she came back after a week. You MUST well prepared and tell you child the worst thing that he might facing there, like the weather, the tone of the coach, meal and especially there will not has a mattress for you, only a wooden made of bed for every night
