Warwick School and Lancing College

有冇人收到offer? 知道 Warwick boarding house人少又全港人,除此以外,有冇其他意見？學術及pastoral care如何？小兒喜歡music,入orchestra情形如何？

Lancing又如何？如Year 12 support ok?

兩間有無邊間科目較好呢？

Lancing is a very very nice school. It has been rated as one of the most scenic boarding school in the UK. I have passed by it ao many times and the environment is STUNNING.
My son's tutor (British) said, because she lived very closed to Lancing, she went to Lancing for summer school for so many years. She said it is very very good. (She had not studied there because she is British, and it is free for states schools).
My friend, who is an agent (Education Consultant) also praises Lancing much. Even Lancing is not in the top league, she found Lancing is providing the best atmosphere and environment to learners. After all, not all of us want to have our kids to suffer from the inhuman competition within the top schools, not matter in Hong Kong or in the UK

其實Lancing 有幾多香港同大陸學生？佢哋好似有超過三成海外生。

I am not sure about Lancing, while I have friends with kids of other schools, they have no problems in participating/integrating into the orchestra.

Not for: Town or city slickers. This is a very self-contained rural campus. Christian ethos won’t appeal to all. No weekly boarding.

Warwick A Level 成績好過Lancing ， 重點係佢地海外生唔多尤其香港同大陸生，淨係呢2樣我已經會揀Warwick, 最後加上Warwick 學費平幾萬，兩年差十萬以上。

Warwick寄宿比例太少，宿生又多係香港／中國人，對我個人嚟講根本唔係傳統英式寄宿體驗。兩間比較，Lancing呢方面好啲。

Warwick係大嘅日校，一般大校嘅pastoral care都爭啲啲，因為太多人變咗啲教職員識唔晒啲學生。日校又爭啲啲，因為啲學生唔係24小時同啲教職員見住。Warwick喺boarding house裡面，照顧應該無問題，不過general pastoral care可能無咁全面，因為大保分老師都係放學就走人。Lancing相反學校相比細啲，有個大啲嘅boarding community，我認為啲教職員會同學生緊密啲。

我唔知你係咪去讀Y12，上面啲factor有幾緊要。睇吓幫唔幫到。

純熟個人意見。

Thanks for the advice. 都知兩間也不錯，小兒係Year 12，容易適應和對學生的關顧也重要，始終他冇幾耐就要考A level!小兒成績普通，知Lancing也不易，有時又怕佢過到去會唔會覺得吃力！
