Maryknoll or St. Paul Co-Ed

My daughter is being invited to take the P.2 entrace written examination by Maryknoll Convent and St. Paul Co-Ed, both in the morning of 12.7.2006.  Is there any BK daddy and mommy could advise which school you would choose ?

If I were you, I shall join the exam of St Paul Co-Ed, and ask Maryknoll for whether they can arrange another date for the exam if possible, of course you should try to persuade Maryknoll by a good reason. By the way, may I know which school your daughter is now studying? Or do you know the reason why she is invited by both school for the exam? You may PM me for the answer, thanks!!

You may call St. Paul Co-Ed to request an alternate timing. I had a similar experience before. The principal of St. Paul is very considerate. She was able to arrange an alternate exam date for my kid.

Just to share the "knock door" experience.

For MCS, they have a telephone recording message describing the procedures in applying P.2 to P.5.  The application period is normally from 1 April to 30 April for the school year beginning in September.  As stated in the standard reply letter, whether the child will be invited to take the written examination is based on the school places available and the child is "qualified".  I have no idea what "qualified" means.

For St. Paul Co-Ed, I just response to the newspaper advertisement.

For other schools, the normal way is to phone the school first and ask for the procedures.  They will ususally ask you to send an application letter in April or May and wait for the reply. Remember to put one or two stamped self-addressed envelopes in the application letter to faciliate the school to contact you.
