I have bought a full set three years ago when my daughter was 2.  To be frank, the concept and methodology is excellent but I could only use about 40% of all material, i.e. DVD and sound cards only.  I am a career woman, I got no time to review the books and exercise, not to mention the services from phone services.  My advice is that it's better to put resources to purchase more English to read for your kid ( no matter by yourself or by CD).

My friends' family came from overseas are using DWE for their kids, their kids are learning at ESF and speaks English at home !

我覺得呢套教材幾全面, 但真係要花時間去引導小朋友學習, 唔係淨係睇幾隻DVD咁簡單! 如果只係買返黎由得佢自己用=浪費金錢!

我囡囡4個月開始用, 到而家仍然用緊, E+主要係練習listening, reading, follow instructions 做練習, 每星期同佢一齊做revision, 仲有好多有趣英語網上遊戲玩, 間唔中又有得睇show, gathering, party.... (要俾$入場), 但都好開心, 好值得去玩, 每次佢都好enjoy! 我自己覺得值得買!

如果你有時間陪仔女睇先好買，如果唔係好似我個friend個女果套,e+擺係到封麈！(3萬幾架！)

多謝你地的意見!其實真係幾貴,要收集多d意見先決定,同埋bb得個半月大,都唔急!

其實for我都應該唔適合,因為第日一至五BB都係放係奶奶到,揍佢個姨姨又唔識英文(鄉下人n成50歲),我都確保唔到佢地會定時定候比BB聽同睇DVD,老爺又大男人,有佢講冇人講(話生女唔值錢喎,我個係女,仲要係我面前講,超級勁憎佢,如果唔係要返工,迫於無奈放係佢地度,真係唔想返去見到佢),成日食煙,飲酒同睇電視,叫佢比個電視出黎比阿BB用,都好難!

如果靜係靠weekend用,又應該唔值同唔work,同埋weekend都可能會同佢去街街,都冇乜時間用lor!

I bought this when my son is 5 months, 佢係好有與趣看 and very useful for him, 但我唔建意你買, 真係要花很多時間幫他, 我 day day 用 at least 1.5 hours for him, watch DVD, play cards with machine.  Even though holiday I go the function in Wanchai for him.  I think this is very good my son have a lot of interest in English.  But if I choose again, I will not buy this.  Even my son's english is quite good, (not only by "Disney English", I think it is not worth.

It is only a gimmic. Not really useful in learning English.  It is more worth to talk to kid at home or send him to English playgroup.

我都同意大部分家長所講, 你一定要有時間有耐性去陪佢玩, 聽, 唱, 睇.. 呢套野我自己覺得好, 因為佢夠全面, 正所謂咩都有. 亦可以借呢套教材去親子, 但係, 如果話淨係用呢學英文我又覺得唔夠.. 最好既係, 返英文playgroup, 返屋企再用呢套教材, 因為我個女就係由1.5yrs返playgroup, 到而家差唔多一年, 我以為都係返去俾佢玩下, 學唔到d咩..

不過, 當我買左呢套教材之後, 佢好快就明白, 好快就講到好多我估唔到佢識既英文, 咁俾我覺得, 唔係呢套野真係咁神奇, 而係佢可以引導d小朋友去講去用一d佢地潛在已經識左既野囉...

I bought to my son when he was NB. He is now 1.5yrs. Frankly, it is very excellent. The first word he said is "car". In fact, in my family, V always talk with him in English & my maid can speak Cantonese. So, he know some Cantonese. But I darely to say, he know English more than Cantonese.

I'm need to work Mon to Fri. My son has a habit to watch DVD (song & program) + listen CD. He can sit quitely in front of the TV.  He will speak English when he plays. Eg. Sit, Up, Boat, Aeroplane (he says A), swing....etc. He can recognise & say nose, ear, toes......etc. May be you feel surprise. But it is true.

Everyday when I back from office. I will sit with him to watch 1 time DVD & try to talk with him & use the word he learn from it.

Your family's situation is fully understanding & it is difficult. I think.... the most important thing is your BB need its own TV & open is whole day. I did it b/4 when he was a BB. Reconsider !!!

I also have experience buying this set of program while my son was 9 months old.  I think this program itself is nothing, only a kit to lead your child about the English.  For me, I take care of my son whole day, and took him to different playgroups even he was a baby under one year old, I thought he got improvement in English picking up much more than sitting there watching the TV.  He showed interest in the first beginning , but later he lost the interest.  The English taught in the kit is too simple. It is not interactive. Only it is good for those babies to grasp the English as the first step.  (becasue it seems to be more systematic than what you buy here and there , in not a series like).  Only the talking card is using for him, I think, as you could let the child to listen the real pronunciation.  All the books are repeating here and there with the same topic, same words , same content, same pictures, same phrases.  Even you want to strenthen their memories, no need to have thirty something books all in the same content.  You could use the words to make up another stories,  again , in order to enrich and strenthen the usage of the words that they learn.  But in fact, Disney kit is always reapeating and repeating.  What you pay is only for few books and disks, cards, and games. Does it worth money?  You think about it. The child really could learn the numbers of words there is very limited.  I think it is not worth the money.  This is only my experience.  Maybe the other working mummies will find it is a good starting tool for child to learn English.
