Choices of 真道, 培僑, 浸會小學

My daughters is P2 in coming school term at Logos Academy.  Considering the traffic time from Shatin to Tseung Kwant O, we enrolled her name to 培僑, 浸會小學 and both accepted our application and offered a seat at P2 this year.  

The decision here is extremely tough as a parent to choose which one is best for her.  Can any one give us prudence and constructive idea ?? Tks

My son also accepted by 浸會小學, I think that school is a mix type of traditional and international school 's teaching method. Student need dictation, copy word and also need to do project and learning from reading scheme . So I think the parent must spend more time to help their child. I think the child will get more pressure under this structure and less happier /freedom than international school.It looks  like a white mouse, but I think this structure will help children develop more strong academic level if your child accepted it.

Hi, I'm going to apply Logos Academy for my son this Sept. But, I've heard some -ve comments from this school. Can u share its strengths and weaknesses 4 me? Is it good at training children in logical thinking? How're the classmates? Are they well-behaved? Pls help!

Seems that 浸會小學's way is similar to some of the govt schools which also use partly activity approach and partly traditional.  What is the real special characteristic of it?

hi..from our observation, the school is somewhat good or bad that depends you can bear with them. One thing u have to consider is the administration is extremely mess and quite often last minutes notice that as a parent u are not afford to react or make arrangement for it..

The strengths are good curriiculum and the deliverables are goods.  My daugther loves the school ( in fact we have difficulty in persuading to go for new school ).  

Weakness are staff turnover is high, language training ( English and Mandarin ) is lax.

In coming school term, the school schedule will be extended for 45 minutes to 4:15pm that we dont accept and decide to shift to other school.

I am not familiar with 浸會小學.

My friend's child is studying in Pui Kui College.  She said that this is a very good school.  Mix of Chinese and Western style.  They teach both Mandarin and English very well.    Also, the school fee is low (Annual fee: HK$17,000) when compare with other international/private school.

Her child feels very happy and her second child will study there this year too.  Her first child was transferred from 真道to Piu Kiu College.  My friend feels that 真道 has many projects needed great involvement from parents.  The child in fact is not at that standard to do it.  

I very much like my son to enroll P1 this year.  However, as we live in Eastern District, it takes around 1.5 hours for one way school bus transportation.  School bus fee is HKD1,600 per month.  Nearly the same as school fee.   We are still considering but just wonder is it worth to take 3 hours in transportation.

The things worried me much is the origin of Pui Kiu sounds PRC bias.  Their standing in term of politic may have negative influnence in applying good university and applying job in the future??  am i over worry??

How about 浸會小學 in Shek Mun - Shatin, can anyone has more information about the track record of the Principal Mrs. Chan, Ms. Din - the primary school principal?
