My daughter has been 箍ing 牙 for 哨牙. The treatment is one year and she started at 8 also. Now her condition is become normal and the treatment should be completed next month.

The clinic is in Mongkok (there is another branch in Centra).

Why don't you join the government dental care scheme via the school with just $20 per year?  They will offer the 矯正 service for your kid free of charge and the followup service is very good.

My daughter is of the same age as your kid and with 倒 "級" 牙.  The teeth is aligned very good now after 1/2 year of 矯正.

can you pls tell me more info. coz i brought my kid to visit the govt $20 dentist and had a similar case as yours. he gave me a list of specialist and asked me to visit them by myself. the fee is eating my self of coz. so i am worrying about the expensive charge lor. can you pls give me some advice. many tks.

Which dental clinic are you going to?  I visited to the one in Argyle Street arranged by the school.  Indeed I was out of my expectation as the dentists asked for my opinion several times proactively if they were allowed to perform "矯ying" to my girl's teeth.   I thought if it's required $$$ but indeed NOT.  Also they were so care-taking that called me many times to see if I really knew how to wear the "矯ying" plastics and clean it properly.

Maybe the queue in the clinic you visited are really too long and the dentists are too irresponsible.

When you see the case "123" who is the same situation I faced, the clinic arranged by school was just providing me a list of doctor for "kiu ying", where the list of doctors are as private condition.  We need to pay for consultation fee and all charges for thatl.  I am thinking you are "civil" servant so you are entitled a free service, are you?

No, such service was arranged by the school and it's irrelevant to "civil servant" or not.  I think the only reason is the responsbilities of the dentists in Argyle Street.   

They told me that "Kiu Ying" for my daughter was not for beauty but for correct the chewing problem with "Dou Cup" teeth.   Some of my kid's classmates were also performed "Kiu Ying" in the same kids free of charge.

我覺得很嚴重(對嘴饞能力有影響) 或有特別教學示範作用 的case才可refer去政府牙齒矯正專科free service.

其他大部份cases當改善外觀就唔包!

thank you for yr kind reply. it's for the problem of teeth growing and my child needs to do (giu ying) and not for beauty. i was told by other mami that the fee maybe over 幾萬,don't know where can get 免色分期. you know dentisit fee can be quite over budget sometimes. i hope i could be as lucky as you...all the best.

My son also was checked has chewing problem with "Dou Cup" teeth.  But the government dentist at Wanchai only gave us the list of 牙齒矯正科醫生.
I bought my son to see the private 牙齒矯正科醫生 today and he also told me the same.  He said it cost total around 12,000 for this 牙齒矯正.  
I called the Argyle Street today and they said they don't provide this service.  So, could you tell me the phone number and name of dentist you contacted?
