Hello all mamas,I've just signed up for playgroup programme 3 for my daughter. Can any mama here share your comments about the playgroup? Thanks a lot!! :)

I tried the Wu Kai Sha Busy Bee PG, it's really not recommended. To much warm up time for the kid to play alone and the snack time is long as well, although the teacher is NET she is not enthusiastic at all, each lession she played at least one or 2 songs via Youtube & the connection is breaking, it is just not worth the time & money.

Seems quite a lot of bad comments about the esf playgroups at many different locations. But unfortunately I've signed and paid..

I signed up for program 3 at kjs and program 4 at beacon hill. I prefer beacon hill ones.

之前有人話，Esf的課程老师帶領得不夠，很多是給小朋友自己玩，是這樣嗎？
另外一班會有幾多個小朋友呢？有沒有機會給小朋友講？

For kjs, it wasn't a full class, there was only about 4 or 5 kids in the class. Yes, the teacher is a NET, but somehow just can't 'lead' the class, she can't get the children's attention most of the time. Kids weren't really listening to her. Warm up time was quite long especially if other kids are late for class. For BHS, it was a full class. The teacher is an Indian teacher. There were more interactions and games. She'll interact with every kid and get them to speak or follow some simple instructions during circle time. My gal was much happier in this class. She can remember her favorite game and the game song used even till now.

你覺得，希望小朋友能練習聽說，去ESF是個好選擇嗎？

To me, I think.. for children to learn a language, it is important to expose the language to them as much and as often as possible. Maybe read to them and/or talk to them more will help better.. I suppose attending playgroup is more for socializing and interacting with other children or other adult such as teachers.
