打算申請由LS插班ESF/RCHK，本身是大B，ESF/RCHK內有沒有11-12月大B，考慮應否做超齡學生。

其實「特例」一定有，但係不是佢嘅policy。插班的話，先致電學校查詢，然後才入表申請啦。

如果Y1, 記得那時聽過，全級有一個，因為評估升Y1時發比較慢，學校建議遲一年入Y1, 做超大B.

ESF's students are placed in year group according to their year of birth.I don't think you can choose to  跳級 or "repeat"

Thank you.  My child was born in December of that year and is now studying in a local school as Big Kid. ESF recommended that I also apply as Big Kid in ESF.

When (before or after submitting application) and how did your approach ESF and got the recommendation?  I am also a mum of late Dec boy.  Wish to delay his year of entry too.

Y5 (as big kid) or Y6 (right year)

As long as admission allowed, you can apply as "Big B" if u want.
FYI, all Nov, Dec kids in my daughter's class (year 3) are "small B" (none is "big B")

for my case, it may be good if one more year for new education system adaption and no hurry to take y7 assessment.

You are right.  My child is always bigger in the LS class and she said doesn't mind as long as she can enjoy the school life and study.  She can make friend with other including higher and lower forms.  I hope she keeps this way in the secondary.

國際學校幼稚園和小學係嚴守年齡指引，到高小和中學一般就跟番小朋友在原先學校的grade，這是比較人性化的安排，硬要小朋友跳級或留班反而不好。

你女兒想法正面，應該好容易交到朋友，讀國際學校係開心的經歷，愉快迎接8月新學年。
