你可以用F.6的成績考College, 不過仲要考Tofel exam, 你的分數要meet到你心儀的College的要求。美國大學係計credits, 夠credits就可以畢業, College讀的credits都計。換言之, 頭兩年的大學課程, 可以起College度讀。University of California, Berkeley都幾難入, Tofel分數要求好高, 你要比心機lor.

Depends on your English & other academic level, you can apply 4-yr university or 2-yr community college etc when you move to San Francisco. With your CE result, I think even if you have very good TOEFL score, you probably can't get in UC Berkeley. If you want to save time & $, you can try to study in a community college or some less prestigious 4-yr university first. Study hard and get good grades (close to GPA 4.0/4.0 is perfect) [GPA = grade point average... like the average score of all your subjects A=4, B=3, C=2 etc.. some schools use 5 point system: A=5, B=4, C=3]. Also, participate in activities in school, do social services etc... and then transfer to UC Berkeley in year 3 or so.

BTW, I live in San Francisco Bay Area. I came to US for college after I finished F.6 in HK.

如果你讀埋F6先過去﹐ 肯定系去community college 喇。讀返High school 甘咪同留班一樣? 何況﹐ high school 好多requirements, 如果你要讀要由Grade 11 開始讀起﹐ 甘即系留班2 年。另外﹐ 距D history, political science 個D requirements, 對你黎講都吾系甘容易架。

直接讀Community college 應該就好容易搞。因為你讀埋中六你已經過左18yrs old. Community college 會收你架喇。

至於UC Berkeley, 就要depends on 你系community college 咩成績。成績好既咪可以去UC Berkeley. 要到時候靠自己努力。好處系距吾理你會考咩成績﹐ 照你講﹐會考成績都吾系好好﹐甘咪當系從新黎過。

Architecture, 你入到community college, 距每一個major 都有相對既requirements, 甘你照住Architecture 既requirements 讀就OK 拉。

我都系系Bay area 住﹐ 中五畢業就過黎喇!

UC Berkeley, 起碼transfer 既時候要3.8 GPA. 又depends on major, 不過Architecture 都吾系容易既科目﹐ 真系要返甘上下GPA 先得。

似乎以甘樣既成績要freshmen 入Berkeley 應該就無咩可能。讀community college 然後transfer 機會會大好多。

Yeah, I agree. Transfer to UC Berkeley would require high GPA. But I guess it would be easier to get higher grade for many general ed classes in community colleges compare to take those in other pretigious 4-year college.

I took the English literature class (general ed requirement for business major in my school) in college (4-yr univ) and my classmate took the English literature class in a 2-yr community college (& transfer the credit to the 4-yr univ). Her reading homework was much less and the exam was much easier. I think I was require to read over 10 books in that semester and my friend only need to read half of them.

我住系Pennisula, 近住SFO。

Community College 既 general education 系容易D﹐ 隨時容易過high school. 特別樓主想讀Architecture, 甘個D咩history, political science 個D堂﹐ 混過去就算架喇。。。讀左就得。

但D GE class 既GPA 都計架。所以個D都要拿得好既grade 先得。
