Info. of the kid's kinder, parents' occupation, employer's name, siblings' schools are all included in the application form, which are the most important info. they need.  Principal interviewed 2000+ kids each year for many years already, so she already knows very well how to select the right kids using the info. and interview performance.

Profile of applicants are more or less similar for a 5 years old kid.

I totally agree that there are some students in DGS who are not very smart or cannot achieve very good academic results actually.   A few DGS graduates whom I know are real examples.

何天美校長 can assess how good a girl in a few minutes........

One day, when 何天美校長 is tired of being the headmistress of DGJS, she can definitely earn a handsome living by setting up a table at Wong Tai Sin and dip in fortune telling business.  Most parents won't mind give away a few hundred $ to let her tell the future of kids.  I will be on the first place of the queue.

Just kidding.  I think any person can be as good as Headmistress if he/she has the luck to choose such group of top tier girls from the thousands.  I think even a band 5 headmistress won't do any worse.  Thanks to parents of her students.

hm.. so 3 minutes is sufficient enough to judge a child! hahaha! What a simple world~  
  

I'm not sure, but I think even education psychologists wouldn't claim that they're confident in judging a child within 3 minutes!  

There are things that parents all know, yet joining the game or not is thier preference of choices. I wouldn't think that anyone who helps his/her child apply to DGS is naive enough to believe in this....I guess it's just too hypocritical to say that "background" doens't matter there.....

不如老老實實好似寶山校長咁, 講到明信"優生學", 憑父母既achievement, 就可以foresee到佢有幾緊張去栽培小朋友...
雖然都係好"門第", 但起碼令人心服口服啊!

幾年前係度提出話ｉｎｔｅｒｖｉｅｗ係會考慮背境，比人圍鬧針對，但原來時間真係最好證明！

Completely agreed with what "Booklover" said.

Give a clear shortlist to help partents to save their time that parents can simply choose not to apply. I felt very disgusting after the interview for my daughter last year. Agreed : 正一虛偽的招牌.

本人已看各位媽媽的寶貴意見 , 其實此校聲譽甚佳 , 唔知有無其他注意事項呢 ! 雖然知道困難重重 , 但試完唔得 , 都算對個女有交代啦 !!

Good school but a Headmistress with low IQ & EQ.  We cannot judge children in three minutes but I believe in judging parents within three minutes.

With a school like DGJS, you put a monkey on the Headmistress' seat and it will still have a queue waiting outside.

I personally do respect DGJS but would never put my daughter in there.  It is like school version of "Kam Chi Yuk Yip" and parents act like 007 spying on eachothers' secret weapon to achieve academic execellence.

Would someone please correct me if I am wrong??
