See if you can ask the admission where your position is, generally speaking, chance not high if beyond the 3rd one on the list. Withdrawal deadline is end of this month.
I already did and they said somewhere in the middle..do you know how many students there are on the waitist and what they base the ranking of the list on? Admissions couldn't tell me this.

I am not sure, maybe10-15 on waitlist?
They based on nationality (German/Austria/Swiss), siblings, alumni, time of application (which I doubt), and performance (which they didn’t mention but I believe so).

Given that the school offers direct entry to outperforming applicants and there are only a few vacancies every year, applicants ranked in the middle of the wait list are very unlikely to get in.
For year 1 entry there are 12 new vaccancies + those who are leaving. And some of the 12 (unknown how many) have not accepted the offer, hence the chances should be a bit bigger?

True but the 12 spots have been given out already, so you need to wait for someone to turn down offers (guess 1-3? When is the offer acceptance deadline?) . Or to wait for leavers to withdraw (usually 1-3 per grade). So I presume one need to rank higher than the third to have a higher chance?
Yeah.. I’ve been going through these probabilities in my head hahaThe deadline for the confirmation of the 12 places is next week and I know for sure that someone on the wait list has been offered a place already ( assuming she was no 1or 2 on the wl ) we need another 2 turning down the offers and another 3 leavers to get a place :))
1. German, Swiss or Austrian nationals
2. Siblings currently attending GSIS
3. Parent is a teacher at GSIS
4. Alumni
5. Existing, vacant Debenture-holders
6. The date of receipt of a complete application
Hi, what kind of information are you referring to?
Actually the school accepted outperforming students who did not have any admission priorities. The school has assessment methods and evaluation system. Applicants with admission priority and those without admission priority will also be considered.
