yes there is homework every week.

Also they teach / force the kids to recognize difficult Chinese characters in PN too.

My son is studying in LH (Lohas Park campus) and we don't like it at all.

-  homework every week
-  even though it is 'bilingual', the English teacher is more like an assistant (i.e. basically it is mainly Cantonese driven)
-  the kids speak Cantonese to each other (i.e. not a very good environment to practice English if that's what you are looking for in so called 'bilingual' environment
-  small campus
-  teach / force kids to recognize very difficult Chinese characters
-  more and more result oriented (i.e. focus on training kids for primary school interview etc instead of focusing on teaching and learning as a way to promote their LH brand)

We speak English at home so our kid can speak fluent English.  But most of the other kids, after half a year in a so called 'bilingual' environment, are still below average in terms of English level (ex: some of them say 's' as 'as-si', 'fish' as 'fis-shuu' etc).  Even my son picked up a bad accent or two which we have to spend lots of time to correct him at home (ex: 'milk' -> 'miuk' now while it was perfect before he went to school).

If you are looking for 'results' and 'learn more difficult stuff', then maybe it is good.  But say if you are looking for a good bilingual environment, then you will be VERY disappointed.

The materials are getting more and more difficult these days.

It is absolutely ridiculous.  It seems like schools are trying to push the kids to learn more just to promote their school's brand.

Instead of trying to lead the kids to 'know what they should be learning / playing at the appropriate age', LH's direction is more like 'training kids to get better results in the primary school interview'.

That's all I am going to say.

在於我,我覺得好深下。首先要分辩到書面語,然後好少重複的詞語。

是我細個時小二程度(估計)
Nowadays the trend is to teach material one year in advance (soon it will become two years in advance) so that the kids can be more competitive.
Many parents still think flash cards are healthy and useful.
