甘系咪考左flyers無需要考ket ，可以考pet?還是要考ket 普通版，唔系校園版？

至於考咗Flyers 還有冇需要考 KET/KETfs？這要看你自己的需要。我孩子當年考咗Flyers後就考PETfs(中間相隔了一年多)。

因Flyers 本身是為 Young Learners 而設，所以並沒有 校園版及非校園版之分。請放心。
以我所知，只有 KETfs, PETfs 及 FCEfs 三個劍橋英文校園版試(全都在 Flyers 程度之上)。

之前阿女考完flyers 攞14個盾, 隔咗一年, 直接考 PET 合格咗. 期間覺得KET 太淺, 但一上 PET 就覺個 gap 好大.

請問PET大約是高小程度嗎？大部份是幾多歲考的呢？
我囡已嘗試做reading的部份，已掌握到。
Speaking部份要和另一位考生一齊考，未有頭緒怎樣練習呢？請指教。

For Cambridge YLE (Starters, Movers and Flyers) tests, there is no pass or fail. All children receive an award which shows how many shields they have received. The maximum score is five shields for each part of the test.
Unlike Cambridge YLE, Cambridge English: Preliminary (PET) results are reported on the Cambridge English Scale.

There are plenty of free resources in the public libraries, the Cambridge official website and other sources on internet for Cambridge English exams. Please Google and/or visit public library.
No rush but be prepared. Good luck.

根據劍橋官網資料，PET 適合高小至中學生。
當然你可能也聽過初小生去考PET 甚至更高階的劍橋英文試的例子，我只會説句人比人比死人， 每位孩子都是獨一無二的，不要作無謂比較。
回到 PET 的會話部份，孩子當年試前並沒做什麼特別練習。我覺得會話能力最好是平時多接觸英語多聽多講浸出來，順住孩子有興趣的地方來浸，這樣孩子學得生活化又享受，比起只針對考試的會話能力來得較全面及扎實。
假設你孩子已有相當的會話能力，以下是一些應對這考試的技巧(來自英國文化協會)。
會話答題技巧：
Practise spoken English both in and out of class as much as possible before the test.
Listen carefully to the examiner's questions and instructions, think about the task and its context, and interact meaningfully with your partner to reach a conclusion or decision.
Ask the examiner for clarification if necessary.
Speak clearly so that both examiners can hear you.
Talk to your partner, not the examiner.
Listen to your partner's questions and answers and try to make the conversation as natural as possible.
Remember that the examiners are sympathetic listeners and want you to give your best possible performance.
Don't let examination nerves keep you from speaking.
Examiners can't give marks to silent candidates.
Don't speak too long without involving your partner.
Don't just give one-word or two-word answers to all questions.
Extend your responses to the more open-minded questions with details that backed up the answers.

我女係小三時考PET 的. Speaking 她一向不錯, 所以考試前冇練過. 她覺得至難係Reading, 成績出來不至高分的是 speaking, 有 distinction, 至低分的亦都是 reading, 緊緊合格.

幫小朋友報名唔係為左谷成績，其實我係想睇下現行學英文的方法效果如何，以後應該點做。心中有數。
所以都唔打算做太多練習。佢明白考試形式就可以了。

1。考試會唔會影響小朋友既呈分？
2。有無弱科？
3。如果用啲時間補弱科，效果會唔會好啲？例如，係唔係用啲時間去溫其他野（好似中文、數學、常識）呈分會上升一名？
如果條問題都係否定，咁先去考慮考邊個考試。考慮因素係：
1。同時考兩個應唔應付到？
2。如果唔得，邊個目標學校會比較認識？
如果決定考PET，考慮係PET既past paper做到Distinction，係唔係可以考FCE？
最後記住，呢啲考試對考中學係無直接幫助，但係可能有間接幫助（面試時容易打開話題，如果考試呢個話題係小朋友熟識既，佢可以娓娓道來，老師對小朋友既印象一定好）。

王家爸爸很好，為你作詳細解答。
如只是純粹評估孩子英語水平，可以去報9月份至10月份的 PET 試，不需作太多準備也不會影響呈分。
